Best easy to draw up straw cup
I started straw cups with my son at around 10 months. A lot of the other weighted straw cups are VERY hard to suck up. If I have trouble drawing up water through it then how can I expect my son to? This cup does not have this problem. It has a weighted straw, but the hole is open and thus does not block the flow. This makes it better for things like smoothies too (obviously very thin ones). The handles come off so it is easier to put in a bottle spot in a backpack or diaper bag. The plastic is easy to clean and it comes with a little brush to clean out the straw. My only complaint would be that when open (so straw exposed) this cup can leak. I took a picture of the tiny hole that it leaks from. For me this is not a huge issue since it is not pouring out, but merely a slow drip. However I understand this is the biggest complaint for others. This hple is covered by the straw when closed so it does not leak then. Also as shown in the picture the straw can become stained after things like spaghetti. Again not an issue for me and if i want one that looks perfect i just switch the straws around. I have used these for 6 months now and I love them. I have bought 3 to always have one with me.

10 month-old drinking from this cup!
I'd read about the merits of straw cups over sippy cups for speech development, but doubted that my 10 month-old would be able to use a straw cup. We got him this cup and in just a couple of weeks, he can use this cup better than many of his sippies! I think it all has to do with the weighted straw -- he can grab this cup from any angle and use the straw to get out water. There was a little bit of a learning curve, but now we don't give him anything else. This cup is a little bit pricey, but it's worth it to me to know that it's made in the USA and the quality is excellent. This is NOT leakproof, but that makes it easy for baby to get the water out, and you can flip the lid closed for transport in a diaper bag (we haven't had problems with leaking when transporting in this fashion). We own two of them and couldn't be happier. It comes with a little straw scrubby brush to clean the straw, too. We also purchased an extra straw.

Easy to use straw cup!
I received one of these cups for my first, and purchased two more for my friend’s baby and my second. I love them!Pros: I love the cup because it’s easy for the baby/toddler to suck the liquid through the straw. Easy to clean by hand or dishwasher. Light weight and two removable handles to fit in cup holders.Cons: They are NOT spill-free - they’ll leak if held upside down. Since I started so young, I’d hold him while using it, then soon after put him in the high chair with the cup, and now he’s fine walking around with it. Also, does fine if held straight-up in a diaper bag, but if the diaper bag is rolling around, I’d put it in a Ziploc or just pour the liquid into the cup when you are ready to use it.(We have a leak-free straw cup, but it’s very hard to suck the liquid out of.. I prefer this cup hands down. We did purchase a leak-free regular cup that the kid has to lean his head back with to switch up the technique.)

Valve free (yay!), super cheap plastic (nay...)
UPDATE: upgrading to 4 stars. My now 19 month old uses this daily for his milk. Despite the seemingly cheap plastic, the cup itself shows no wear after daily runs over 6 months in the dishwasher. It slows his (purposeful) spills while reminding him that milk isn’t supposed to make a mess. He easily drinks from it and I love that the simple pieces are easy to clean and assemble. Our straws turned yellow, but I’m ok with this - it means it’s quality silicone and the replacement straws are cheap. For me, the real value here is entertainment- my toddler LOVES that it’s a bird. We play “Rockin Robin” to it every night at dinner time and sing using the cup as a puppet-of-sorts. We’re not singing a popular ocean predator song, and for me, that’s worth every penny.I bought this product specifically to use for my 14 month old at bedtime. I was weaning him from his last bottle, but didn’t want to give up the nighttime rocking and snuggles that went with that bottle. He usually drinks from an open cup during the day, but I wanted a weighted straw cup with a lid that we could use at bedtime. A non-spill cup wasn’t important to me, but I did want something easy to drink from (similar to a bottle). This was the only cup I could find that fit the bill. The cup suits our needs. It is definitely not leakproof (my toddler loves to flip it around and shake milk out), but it does not claim to be, and that’s what makes it easy to drink from. It is very cheap plastic, the cup itself seems like a slightly thicker version of the cheap frosted disposable solo cups. The straw became permanently discolored when we used it at a single mealtime where my kid ate butternut squash and green grapes. It is, however, soft and comfortable for my kid to drink from. It is easy to clean, and came with a straw brush. I like that the handle clicks into place rather than just snapping on. Overall, I’m happy with this purchase only for our specific bedtime scenario use, otherwise it’s a terrible sippy cup option and has little to offer give the high price point.

Great sippy cup- 9 mth old
We love this cup. My son is 9 months old and our doctor suggested that we try a straw cup instead of a sippy cup for water. I researched and saw that this cup had many positive reviews. Since this original order, we have ordered two more. We ordered the zo-li bot cup also. He struggles to get the liquid out of that cup. The Lolla cup is easy for him to hold. The handles come off to make it fit well in the stroller cup holder. We actually lost the handle during a walk and emailed the company. By the next morning, they emailed back. They were very very helpful and cheerful! The cup is not spill proof, but this comes with the straw not having to be squeezed to get the liquid out of it. If we keep it mostly straight up in the diaperbag, we haven't had a problem. The lid shutting pushes the straw in an inverted angle, which actually reduces the spilling. I only noticed a spill when my son had it dangling upside down with the lid open. We are very happy with this product.
