Keylite Timber Wooden Loft Ladder KYL01 550x1000x2.8m

Very good loft ladder. Easy to fit with good instructions. It's especially useful if you have a loft that you need to get into. I haven't tried using it to get into a cellar because I imagine you can buy a specialist product for that.

What a great item - I no longer need to go to the shed to get the ladder and then to lay down a sheet because teh ladder is not clean fro mthe shed. All i do now to use the rod included to unlock the hatch, let it drop down and unfold the ladder. i now take only a few minutes to gain access to my loft.Installing can be an easy or hard task depending on the opening size of your original hatch. I had to make my hatch bigger to fit this. the installation of this item was surprisingly easy and I managed to do it alone. would be easier to have 2 people to install though.Great item and I have already recommended to a friend.

This ladder has now unfolded three times and hit me on the head. The angle that the ladder sits when folded is almost vertical so when you bring the hatch down the ladder unfolds. There is no safty catch on it to stop it from unfolding. Made on the cheap.

The ladder can be installed as a DIY job only if the size of the frame matches the size of the entrance in the attic appropriately( but not exactly !). There should be a gap of about half a cm on each of the sides where the metal flaps are( shorter sides of the frame), not more and not less. The ladder is a bit stiff at the joints ( where it opens) but I guess it is because it's new and with some use it will loosen up. One star is less because I spent a lot of time on this ladder and still have to finish the trim of the hatch. However. I am happy with the quality of the ladder. The springs attacked to the hatch door are strong and hold the ladder up in its place firmly. The door wouldn't open more than about an inch despite the weight of the ladder when unlocked. So you are not scared that it will hit you in the face the moment you unlock with the rod provided. In summary, I like it and it is worth the price.

Works a charm. Had to widen the hole in the ceiling boards as the old loft hatch was quite small but this fitted in a charm once done and works great. Great quality ladder as well. I have heaved up some heavy stuff now into my loft, and always felt safe on the ladder. Easliy done by myself.

I'm not sure how I ever managed without one! Arrived within 24 hours of ordering which was 5 days sooner than expected. Wasn't quite as simple to fit as I expected but it took me about 3 hours from start to finish on my own. The hatch and ladder are excellent quality and easy to unlock and unfold. If you are considering buying one be absolutely certain that you have enough room for the ladder to unfold. Very pleased with the results. Excellent seller and service too.

Great service arrived when they said it would , could not open as well packaged and was not getting fitted for a couple of weeks. The hatch has a chip in and couldn’t wait fir it to be fitted as had booked it in so not as good as it should have been. Very sturdy ladder fitter recommended this product shame it has a CHIP in the part of the hatch that can be seen. If it wound have been th other side it would have been ok a little disappointed

I liked how the design enables you to install from the ground, you don’t have to get into the loft to install the ladder.
