Great price and flavor of dark roast, but somewhat high in caffeine.
Great price. Great consistent flavor. My favorite version of Starbucks. Difficult to find in larger sizes in my area, unless I drive 30 miles to a Starbucks outlet.Problem is type II diabetic. Diabetics are not supposed to consume caffeine. For Type II diabetics glucose rises (yielding bad A1c quarterly readings, but in opposition, purportedly, for Type I diabetics their glucose falls... like how far... into a coma?If I recall correctly, Verona yields an approximate maximum of 24.4 mg caffeine each ounce cup, prepared using 1 TBS ground Verona for every 6 ounces water. Since drip makers presumably hold 60 ounces water, 10 TBS or 5 scoops, using 1/8th cup standard coffee scoop. I digress.Type II diabetics must limit intake well below a purported 200mg caffeine limit, to avoid a rise in glucose. One 8 ounce cup Verona is about 195 mg caffeine. So I space out 3 ounces every 2 hours. Yes, I have been experimenting; keeping my A1c levels down by micromanaging caffeine intake. ^*$&%#$# diabetes.

Starbucks Caffe Verona
My favorite ground coffee was LaVazza. Recently I switched to "Starbucks Pike Place Ground Coffee. I like both: smooth, nice aroma and its color. A month ago, I bought Starbucks Caffe' Verona Dark Roast 100% Arabica Coffee, 28 oz (1.75 lb). It has nice aroma, dark color and smooth. "Notes of Dark Cocoa & Caramelized Sugar. I add 1 tsp of cinnamon powder to the ground coffee and pour hot boiling water "into Glass Drip Pour Coffee Maker with Resuable Stainless Steel Filter and cone coffee filter. It sells for $13.99, very reasonable.

Delicious coffee
This is a coffee which contains caffeineBut no bitter or acidic flavor. It is robust and full taste. A fresh cup will be delicious day or night.

Excellent coffee at Folgers prices
An excellent coffee, it was priced well below other Starbucks types for a period in 2025, but unfortunately that is no longer the case. I love coffee, to the point of roasting my own, but don’t need to right now. This is as cheap as home roasting with a consistent fresh dark coffee flavor.Unfortunately, with its price increasing from $14 to over $20, I will seek another brand.
