super economical
Just a couple of teaspoons gets my clothes nice and clean. Super economical. I work outside and get very dirty. My clothes come out bright, my whites are white, not dingy, no weird, scented aromas. The sheets are soft and don't make me itch. Just terrific laundry soap. + I'm on a septic system and this soap is easy on the leach field.

Great Laundry Soap!
I love Charlie's laundry detergent. I am sensitive to anything with a fragrance, So I had to stop using tide, as it gave me migraines and made me feel like I had the flu. Charlie's unscented soap works great, it gets the dirt out and leaves the laundry smelling like well... nothing. I am a massage therapist and use it on my work laundry too with great results.

Super Clean
I have washed about 10 loads since the arrival of Charlie’s Soap. I can honestly say its cleaning power is noticed and seen. My other laundry soap is non toxic and comes in paper bag refills. Which has been my objective for decades to keep it clean non toxic and less wasteful as possible. After a couple years of using my other brand I started to question “ Are our clothes actually getting clean clean?” It seemed to be doing ok job but I went on the search again and decided to finally try this Brand. First I did do as instructed washed a couple of Hot cycles with rags and towels. Washer noticeably smelled better and towels brighter, softer and of course appeared cleaner than ever. Then on to our clothing on cold cycles with same results. They are cleaner brighter and whiter. Love that I only smell the clothes. Its neutral but smells clean if that makes sense. Im sure if someone is making a switch from the toxic detergents to this it would take a few washings to rid your clothes of all the old fragrance that is coated into the fabrics. I understand because I do like to 2nd hand shop or on occasion been gifted an article of clothing from a friend or family member. Depending on the detergents it takes about 5 washings just to be able to wear it without coughing & choking from the smell. For those of you who have made the switch( to non toxic & fragrance free) you understand how hard it is to be around clothing that has been washed in “those” brands. I have a feeling the Charlie’s soap would be able to knock it out in 3 washes fully. Will update when that happens. Until then I believe I found my Match in the Laundry Department. I do hope more and more people turn to brands like this for everyone’s health. Super Clean Laundry is thee bonus!

Best laundry soap ever made
I started using this because a family member was incontinent due to illness, and Charlie’s was highly recommended by parents for cloth diapers. Nearly 20 years later, I won’t use any other laundry soap. Gentle on skin (mine is highly reactive), no dirt left behind, gets out EVERY odor. Pets, babies, sick folks, bad smells, old stains, tough filth: nothing defeats Charlie’s. Costs more than a typical detergent bottle, but one teaspoon (two if the load is ultra-smelly or filthy) does the work of a petroleum-based detergent’s full cap, so it lasts forever. A gallon bottle lasted my two-person household an entire year.

LOVE this stuff - great for sensitive skin and noses
I can't say enough about this soap. I've tried so many other detergents for sensitive skin and none of them compare with this soap. It doesn't gum up the machine, there are no dyes, and it works for HE machines. One ounce is enough for a full load of king sheets + more.Clothes come out softer and "fresh" - not perfume fresh, but clean fresh. Sometimes it's almost like hanging your laundry outside to dry. I have stopped using dryer sheets and only use my Nellie's wool dryer balls without static over this past winter. My towels love it and "perked up" with like-new absorption. I have many allergies and sensitivities including being allergic to my dog. I wash everything from the pet blankets to my delicates in this detergent as a "one-stop-shop" and it works great. I can tell when I've washed the pet blankets as my asthma is calmed and skin irritations don't occur when I come into contact.I do use an old smaller detergent bottle from another brand. I refill that smaller bottle and get an easy and accurate pour into the marked cap. What used to be a "small load" for that detergent's pour measurement is a large load for Charlie's soap at a single ounce.I have tried Nellie's Laundry Soda powder and it didn't seem to dissolve well. I've read similar complaints from other reviewers about Charlie's powder version gumming up their sewage hoses. No troubles like that here with the liquid. Buy the gallon to reduce the environmental impact of shipping multiple smaller bottles, and love your laundry again. If you've made it this far, you can feel my enthusiasm. I shared the last bit of my bottle with a family member to help them understand how great it is for sensitive skin and non-sensitive skin. I hope this was helpful!

No more smelly washer
I first purchased the Charlies powdered detergent to use on my bath towels, and then switched to the liquid to use on all our clothing. I was having problems with my GE top loading washing machine having a sewer smell. I had cleaned with the affresh tablets, vinegar, and finally bleach. The bleach was the only thing that would remove the smell, but a month later it was back. We have well water with a water softener and a septic system. I didn't want to keep using bleach, therefore I switched from tide pods to Charlies detergent to try. I have not had any more smells from the washer for 6 months and do not have to clean the washer every month. The product cleans our clothes and I have not missed the fragrance from the tide pods. I prefer the liquid as I do not feel like the powder dissolves unless you are using warm water. The powder has left a residue on my dark clothes, but is fine for towels and sheets. The liquid works on a color setting, but will still leave a residue with all cold water in my machine. I have re-ordered this product and will continue to use. It has been nice switch to an unscented product as you don't realize how much fragrance is on your clothing until you start washing with this product.
