My First Words Ring Flash Cards

I am so delighted with these flashcards. I had not heard of the mudpuppy brand before, but I'm looking into see what other products they make. My son is 16 months old, so these are a great toy to help him start to point out recognizable objects and start using his words. It is fun for us to go through the ring together or they are easy enough for him to manipulate that he can entertain himself by using them on his own. Given his age, a lot of things still end up in his mouth, including these cards. They have held up very well and aren't completely destroyed! The designs are very cute and this is something that I can see us getting a lot of use out of for the next year or two. I liked them so much, I ordered another ring for an upcoming trip---they seem like a great plane ride activity.Also, I would highly recommend getting the Secure-A-Toy, BLACK-WHITE to go with this. I used this to strap the rings to the carseat and the stroller, so he can thumb through the cards on his own, but not lose them if he decides to throw them. If you have not used these in general, I highly suggest, as I've found a ton of uses over the last few weeks...they're especially great when traveling.

I liked this so much I bought it twice.We had this for our first daughter and she knew all of them when she was 1 year old. It was amazing. Our second daughter is slower to talk, but I knew we wanted these cards so that I could show her what different things were.This time around I bought another set of Mudpuppy flash cards first. It ended up being a mistake. The objects were too stylized and didn’t look all that much like the things that they were. These illustrations look like the things that they are. I would even prefer if there was a product like this that had photos instead, but if it’s going to be illustrations, these are definitely the ones to go with.The cards are sturdy and fine for babies to chew on. The ring is also sturdy, and allows you to change the order or the cards, if you’re into that. I think the order they’re in is fine, so we just leave them attached. The whole pile of cards is a bit heavy, though, so maybe that would be a way to lighten it up?Anyway, these cards are great. They are perfect for helping little ones isolate objects and learn some words.

These are cute flash cards. There is quite the variety of pictures and words. They are sturdy, though not water or bite proof. They come held together with a ring, but you can open and remove the cards. They are fairly large cards, but can be kept in a diaper bag for a distraction toy. These pictures are not realistic, but are fun art to look at and talk about with child.

My 18 month old son plays with these and practices at restaurants and such. It keeps him busy and happy. They’re nice on the ring so they don’t get lost or fall in the floor, but we sometimes take them off the ring and do “find the...” games with him. Sturdy, thick cards that are holding up really well in my diaper bag and fairly frequent use. Bright colors and appealing to a young toddler.

These are awesome and I`m already starting to show them to my almost 16 month old toddler. The words are good, pictures are good (they have a different word and pic on each side of the card) and it is good size PLUS of course my toddler can`t chew on it. The only reason I`m scoring it a 5 not a 4 is because I bought it since it had the ring and the ring seems a little flimsy as it is plastic. I was hoping it would be made from something more durable, but hopefully it will last and cards won`t fall out. So far so good.

I was looking for an easy card system to travel with for my 19month old and found the ring flash cards. They are very durable and the print quality is great. They have been rubbed by sticky hands and I was able to gently clean them off with water and a towel with no disruption to the color.The content of the words are basic and perfect for a pre toddler to toddler and range from animals, clothing, food and a few other thing like house or ring.The size seemed a bit large when I initially opened the box but it’s perfect for young children who are still developing dexterity and motor skills.My little guy loves bringing these around and is always so proud of himself when he knows the word for the picture. These are a great buy!

Great for road trip!

I cannot rave enough about this set! They are absolutely the best flash cards we have ever purchased. My assistant teacher and toddler students love them! I am ordering more for my future grandchild. Bright colors, large graphics, numbers, and letters. The cards are thick and durable. The ring that holds them together is so durable. You will love them, too!
