USB Y Cable (USB2-HD201)

. . . that I forgot it was there.I have this product connected to a high speed USB hub connected to a portable hard-drive and then it is connected to my laptop. I have a USB bluetooth adapter and a Quick 5.0 MP WebCam with 720P HD Video (Red) connected to it as well. There have been no problems at all. I think the problem with the bad reviews are talking about a hard drive issue and not an issue with this product.

The original cable I had was about six inches, which put a severe strain on the mini-USB Type B connector - two of the cables wore out by coming loose or bending. This cable has an 18-inch length, much less stress on the connectors. Well made, seems to work well so far!

works just fine, allows me to upgrade my usb1 device to usb2 power and I found it on amazon.com what a find

I bought this item thinking it would help by giving me extra USB connections when needed. But, it cannot be connected to the USB that is on my computer, so this item is basically worthless. Until I find some way to connect it to whatever the small end will fit into, I paid for something I cannot use. To send it back, at the small price it cost, isn't worth it.I feel bad, because now I am stuck without being able to do what I need to do. I was counting on this item - from the description and the positive reviews I felt I was purchasing a worthwhile product. This isn't the first item I have purchased from Amazon where I am dissatisfied and not sending back to them. However, I do hope it is the last item because the two items were basically within the last two months.Usually I am very satisfied with what I get from Amazon. I guess from now on, when it comes to some of the electronic stuff, I need to just forgo this site and use my computer technician as advice. Even though it will cost me more for the initial purchase, at least I won't be wasting money.

This USB cable seemed to work with my Hitachi USB 250 GB drive. That is, when I connected the drive to the PC using this cable, it was recognized. However, the drive could not be awakened after it went into seleep mode. I had to reset the PC to see the USB drive again. With the original USB cable, the drive is always recognized as soon as I need to access it after it went dormant. Other than that, the cable seems to be a fine one that could work for other uses. It just does not work with my Hitachi USB drive and my PC's power scheme.

I have a netbook that just does not have enough juice in one USB port to power up my Western Digital external hard drive (WD2500MEP-00). I bought this Y-cable and it works great!I recommend plugging the Y part in first before connecting it to your hard drive to make sure that it is receiving enough power right away.

I bought this as a replacement for my iomega external disk cable... but the mini usb part is too short to make a proper connection to the disk, if you push it and hold it, it does makes the connection.

This is a really good replacement for my broken cord. it works like a dream and will be requesting more if they break
