Would work for the right product
I got these to use on heavy duty joints, not for the coolant hose system. I think they would work for what they are designed for but the pieces I had required a heavy duty solution. This just couldn't keep up but that's fine

Almost essential for Loc Line
If you want to use Loc Line, then you need these Pliers. They make it simple to assemble and break down the line.

Good but flimsy
I picked these up along with coolant hose to replace the air hose in my DeWalt dw788 scroll saw. The price of these along with hose was less than the DeWalt hose. Noted in other reviews that these were flimsy. I would agree, however, for my intended purpose and the fact that they did indeed do the job, I'm okay with them being flimsy. I'd imagine if you had tons of sections to do that the plastic would eventually fatigue and break.

Great Tool but why plastic?
If you are actually putting together a loc-line setup and need to create custom lengths, then you need this tool. Before I got it I was having limited success clamping and prying and pulling and pushing the links together but it was a task that took far too long and wasn't really met with success. I received this tool and as soon as I opened the packaging had my entire system together in under 5 minutes. It almost felt like I didn't need the tool at all since it was in my hands only briefly. It works incredibly well and only received four stars from me due to its entire construction being made from plastic. I know metal would have marred the loc-line links but metal handles and plastic jaws would have been nice. I have the fear in the back of my brain that when I do need this tool again, in the distant future, that I will get a few links connected and then it will snap from years of disuse. Great tool and made of good plastic but plastic is crap as far as I'm concerned.

These were important in installing a new dust nozzle on my scroll saw.
If you are replacing a nozzle on your scroll saw, this is the tool you need.
