Haywards Pickled Onions 400g

These taste fabulous. They have excellent zing and crunch. Perfect packaging preserves the goodness. Worth the price.

I’m an old Brit and these pickled onions are just as remembered: crisp, tangy, and strong! Upon arrival I popped one in my mouth and crunched away instantly going into culinary ecstasy! The unexpected bonus was when my American wife (almost as old, but don’t tell her I said so), upon seeing my delight mimicked my actions and put a whole onion in her mouth and crunched away. The rest, as they say, is history. The look of abject horror on her face was comedy gold and reminded me of the look on my kid brother’s face when I squirted some lemon Jiff into his mouth some fifty odd years ago! This is all completely true. Enjoy, they are delicious and STRONG!

In the land where pickles are king (USA), pickled onions are not typically enjoyed too much. I introduced my friends and family to the joys of cheese and pickled onion sandwiches. Now they can't get enough of them. If we haven't got them in they want to know why. Well worth the import expense, these onions are wonderful. On my regular shopping list when home.

Let me start by saying that negative comments here are not against the pickled onions, which I am sure will be just superb - Haywards pickled onions always are.My complain is about the advertising. The link from my Amazon search that lead me to this particular offering clearly said this was a package of 2 jars. It isn't, but it was only after I completed my order that I realized that I was only going to get one jar. It would have been a good price for 2 jars, way expensive for only 1 jar. Bad on you Amazon for (at best) misleading advertising. Next time I'll know better, and get the package of 3 jars...

This item clearly states "(pack of 2)" on the display page but you will only receive 1 jar. I have attached a snip of the false advertising. I also figured it was a 2 pack because the going rate for a jar on Amazon is around 7-8 dollars, but 15 dollars for ONE jar is ludicrous

The product description is very misleading. It appears you will be getting two jars of onions but you only get one. Making this selection a VERY expensive jar of onions. The product itself is worthy of five stars Haywoods Pickled Onions are the best!!

I love these, eat em like strawberries. Tasty and not many callories. Guilt free flavor! Also my hack is to buy some of the local American Dutch Style pickled onions and put them into these jars and this vinegar, which gives those weaklings a flavor upgrade, and that's how I justify the cost for some guilt free flavor!

It's rare that anything's strong enough that I have to slow down when eating it, but that's a plus in my opinion. I just wish it was possible to get them as cheaply here in America as it is in the UK.
