Biased Reviewer !
It was 1987 when Predator hit the Big Screen. All my Buddies and Folks I worked with in the Age Bracket ( 20- 30 years old ) were so Stoked about seeing this Movie.Dudes only ?My Girlfriend ( at the time ) hated the violence, “the macho man film “ i still remember her exact words. But Dudes , couldn’t stop quoting the One Liners from the movie, chewing Red Man ( to become like Jesse the Body Ventura ) cranking up Long Tall Sally, and yelling “ Get to the Chopter “ andIf by God’s Grace alone, your name wasn’t “ Dillon “Ok , ok , the 4K HDV on Bluray and on a real good sounding surround system ( ok I will allow for soundbars with Subs Only )Picture and Sound almost becomes the EventAll 4 of these Movies. Especially 1 & 2 .Pedators and The Predator were made already in 5.1 and 7.1 or greater in The Predator ( which doesn’t make up for the idiot writing and bizarre cast . )The lifeline was “ Prey “Also A.V.P. should have been added. ( for the back story, and insite to the Character of the Predators. )Still a Fan 40 Years Later.Amazon had released this 4 disc 4K ultra HD.$32 normally $69 . Excellent Value for the 4K UHD bluray upscaled performance.

A Great Way to Revisit the Franchise Before the Prequel!
The Predator 4-Movie collection brings together all four of the main Predator films on Blu-Ray prior to Dan Trachtenberg’s 2022 prequel, “Prey.” These four films appear in rough chronological order, so they’re a great way to review the franchise prior to watching the prequel. “Predator 2” has a small scene that Trachtenberg directly referenced in his prequel. Finally, all four of the theatrical films in the franchise are 107 minutes long, while the digitally-released “Prey” is 100 minutes.John McTiernan’s original 1987 “Predator” film based on Jim Thomas and John Thomas’s screenplay focuses on a special operations team traveling to Guatemala to retrieve a lost team. They quickly find out that CIA agent Dillon (Carl Weathers) mislead them, but discover they aren’t only up against guerrillas in the jungle. An unknown force begins targeting the spec ops team, leading Dutch Schaefer (Arnold Schwarzenegger) and his team of Mac (Bill Duke), Billy (Sonny Landham), Blain (Jesse Ventura), Poncho (Richard Chaves), and Hawkins (Shane Black), to have to figure out their enemy, a creature that can seemingly become invisible and fires energy weapons. Despite the science fiction elements, the movie is very much the quintessential 1980s action movie from its cast to its music and even director McTiernan, who made “Die Hard” the very next year. Enjoyable as a classic, but made without the intent of a franchise, “Predator” can be watched as a standalone ’80s action B-movie or as the first in a series.Stephen Hopkins’ 1990 sequel, “Predator 2,” takes place in the then-future of 1997 where gang wars consume Los Angeles. As a team led by Lt. Mike Harrigan of the LAPD (Danny Glover) attempts to prevent further street violence, they discover an unknown person is targeting them all. Joining him are Detective Danny Archuleta (Ruben Blades), Detective Leona Cantrell (María Conchita Alonso), Detective Jerry Lambert (Bill Paxton), and Dr. Irene Edwards (Lilyan Chauvin), the chief medical examiner. The CIA interrupts their work, with Special Agent Peter Keyes (Gary Busey) leading the efforts along with Agent Adam Garber (Adam Baldwin) to capture the Predator based on the prior encounter in 1987. The film is a bombastic 1990s action film, anticipating later 1990s futurist films such as “Terminator 2” (made in 1991, set in 1995), “Demolition Man” (made in 1993, set in 1996 & 2032), and “Escape from L.A.” (made in 1996, set in 2013). “Predator 2” also laid the groundwork for the larger franchise, showing multiple Predators, featuring a cameo of an alien skull, and showing that they previously came to Earth to hunt in the eighteenth century. This is also my favorite film in the franchise.Nimród Antal’s 2010 film, “The Predators,” was the first in the series after the 2004 and 2007 “Alien vs. Predator” crossover films, though co-writer Robert Rodriguez and Antal sought to distance themselves from “Predator 2” and the crossovers. Antal and Rodriguez invert the formula of the previous films, featuring a group of fighters from diverse backgrounds brought from Earth to a game preserve where the Predators bring animals and humans to hunt for sport. The team is composed of mercenary Royce (Adrien Brody), IDF sniper Isabelle (Alice Braga), doctor Edwin (Topher Grace), death-row inmate Walter Stans (Walton Goggins), Spetsnaz commando Nikolai (Oleg Taktarov), Yakuza enforcer Hanzo (Louis Ozawa Changchien), Sierra Leone RUF officer Mombasa (Mahershala Ali), and Los Zetas enforcer Cuchillo (Danny Trejo). As the humans begin to realize that they’re no longer on Earth and learn that they’re being hunted, they encounter Ronald Noland (Laurence Fishburne), a human who has survived several seasons on the planet, scavenging Predator technology. He teaches them that, in addition to being hunted, they’re in the middle of a conflict between two different groups of Predators. In addition to the group from the earlier films who have a code of honor, a group of Super Predators fight using any means at their disposal, relishing in destruction rather than seeing to prove their honor in combat. Though directed by Antal, Robert Rodriguez co-wrote the story and produced the film, with the final product showing his influence throughout.Shane Black’s 2018 film, “The Predator,” returns the franchise setting to Earth. The story begins with a Predator ship crashing on Earth. When U.S. Army Ranger Quinn McKenna (Boyd Holbrook) checks out the crash site and removes alien technology, he runs afoul of a clandestine organization that has him committed. The group, known as the Stargazer Project, captures a Predator and brings it to a lab for study. A scientist, Casey Brackett (Olivia Munn), discovers that the Predators contain some human DNA, tying into the idea from “Predators” that the Predators want to improve themselves to hunt different creatures throughout the universe. Naturally, the Predator escapes custody and so McKenna must team up with a group of soldiers with psychological issues – Nebraska Williams (Trevante Rhodes), Coyle (Keegan-Michael Key), Baxley (Thomas Jane), Lynch (Alfie Allen), and Nettles (Augusto Aguilera) – along with Brackett to hunt for it and another Predator. Along the way, they discover that the first Predator smuggled something to Earth and the second, bigger Predator is pursuing it for the device, which becomes the MacGuffin of the story as the team, government agents, and the bigger Predator all try to figure things out. The film links to prior entries in the franchise through the Stargazer Project, whose head scientist is Sean Keyes (Jake Busey, the real-life son of Gary Busey), the son of Peter Keyes from “Predator 2.” Further, one of the Stargazer Project’s operatives is Cullen Yutani (Françoise Yip), who previously portrayed the character in “Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem.” In a further connection to the franchise, Black directed the fourth film and appeared in the first.

Great collection
Much better than the Blu ray collection. That grainy look is back!!! The blu ray collection just looked off, they did a great job with this transfer. It is a little grainy, but that adds to the film. Highly recommend.

Excellen picture quality.
This includes all 4 predator films in an 8-Disc box set. That will be the predator films in 4 UHD Discs and 4 Blu-ray discs. It also brings the digital code for all four films. The first film stars one of the greatest action stars of his time and former California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger. And this film is one of the best sci-fi action horror films out there with James Camerons "Aliens".Predator 2 is by far the most underrated sequel in the series starring Danny Glover. This one I think what worked against it back in its day was the change of location from the jungle to the urban streets of L.A. and changing the protagonist from Arnold Schwarzenegger to Danny Glover who besides starring in Lethal Weapon. He was not known for the action in that film more Mel Gibson. But after seeing this as an adult it really is a good film and deserves a second chance. The third film Predators is a different beast changing it to group of earth best killer are abducted and dropped into a jungle planet. Treated as exotic animals hunted for sport. And it delves deeper into the Predators themselves showing two different breeds of predator who have a long standing blood feud against each other. The fourth installment "The Predator" is well..it exists. It's violent theres a lot of action but there's some direction to the plot here that I don't agree with. They have some comedy in here that just throws it off balance. And the human protagonists in here you don't really care for. And they really ramped up the CGI here that made made a lot of scenes a little cringy. It's the weakest and not the best one of the franchise. And I'm surprised that in rotten tomatoes it has a higher rating than predator 2 yet everyone calls this one the worst of the series.Despite all of this all four films looks amazing in 4K and on Blu-ray. This is a good box set to have alongside the new Prey spin-off series.

Very Good!!!
I've tried out the movies a bit, I'd have to play them in full to give an objective opinion on playback, but from what little I could see, the quality is good. The case is simple, but it arrived in good condition.
