Best golf game out there!
I first saw this game on YouTube. I was looking for something that my brothers and I could play together while they visiting. Those on YouTube thought this game was better than Tiger Woods and the price was right, so I took a chance. Man am I glad a did!! This game is as real as you can get from a console game of golf. We played teams and singles tournaments all weekend and never got bored. When my brother left, I decided to play career, what a challenge. The coolest and cruelest part about the mode is you can't just quit the round (like real life) if you're doing bad. I even turned the console off but when I turn the game back on, it goes right back to where I left off in the round! I was forced to get better if I wanted to make it to the Tour. A great and challenging game!

Greatest Golf Game Ever!
It is mind-boggling to see erroneous things being said about the greatest golf game ever released . This game is completely fabulous. It's as close to playing real golf as you're going to get. The ball physics and understanding of how to hit a shot and under what circumstances, blows away any other game before it. Many people with this game don't know that you can set up a tour season to your choosing. You can replace every generic name provided by the game and override it with tour players. I did that with 250 tour players (all personally rated to your choosing) and my season's leaderboards list are populated by top notch pros ( competitors from McElroy to Speith). There are thousands of fabulous courses to play. People have rendered tremendous versions of nearly every great course in the world...in addition to fantasy courses that will blow your mind. Miniature golf courses and rooftop courses are also available for great fun. I am currently playing a personally created tour season that I fashioned with 29 tour stops (4 rounds each)....each stop at a course that I found to be tremendous. I included the Masters, US Open, British Open, and PGA as Augusta, Harding Park, Winged Foot West, and Royal St. Georges were all available. I also included stops at Torrey Pines, Pebble Beach, Bethpage Black, Whistling Straits, Pine Valley, and Bay Hill.Who gives a damn about buying hats and club sets to make you better. Isn't practice and time invested a more realistic way to go. By the way...I play every day with my son-in-law in Philly, my nephew in White Plains, NY, my grandson in Merrick, NY...al at the same time and WE CAN SEE AND HEAR EACH OTHER WHILE PLAYING!!!!!! How wonderful during this pandemic!

Great golf game
I had the older version of TGC and it stopped working online. This upgraded version fixed all the kinks from the previous. I've been playing for several months and it is still challenging. If you can't putt well, you can't win! Just like real golf.

Perfect for the competitive golf addict.
I was on the fence about this game before I made the purchase and boy am I glad I did. This game is challenging for anyone who has never played the game, as well as for those who have. It definitely is tricky and takes some getting used to but once you get the hang of it, it constantly requires consistent mental focus, just like the game of golf, and you really have to think through and set up the best shot for yourself before you hit it. Imagine being a professional golfer who was able to perfectly hit fades/draws/high balls/ low balls/punch shots, or anything else you can think of. Then put yourself on an extremely difficult course and see for yourself how well you REALLY know the game and how to play it. Not sure about you, but my dreams of being a professional golfer are long past gone, but this game puts you in a position to live that dream! I will say, the only negatives about this game, is that there are no real players and you are limited on name brand clothing/equipment you can use. You'll play in a tournament or a season with random computer generated names. My biggest competitive rival on the game is a made up guy named Ben Cox. So no playing against real tour players like Rory, and tiger, and dj. I believe they left that to 2k21. You can change your clothes and equipment but the equipment will not upgrade your player in any way. You have 3 levels of club difficulty you can play with and the higher he difficulty the longer your shots will be able to go. equipment doesn't matter at all aside from looking cool. The online societies mode in my opinion is the best part of the game. You play against other online players around the world in which many of them you have to pay a buy in fee (from fake money you accumulate from winning tournaments in career or societies) and you get paid out depending on how well you do. The online players are usually pretty good, so if you find yourself cruising through all of the career mode with ease, you will undoubtedly find yourself challenge once you enter the online realm, and boy is that pressure exhilarating. Get this game before 2k21 golf comes out. The game plays will likely be the same (how to swing and putt, etc.) so the better in practice you get now, the easier it should be to transition to 2k21 when it comes out in august. Good gameplay, terrible depth
Let me start by saying it is so much better than EA's Rory game. The career mode has so much potential, with lots of customization options for players, but it is all generic, including having actual golfers represented in the game. Starting off on the Web.com tour was pretty cool. I didn't know any of the players, but I really shouldn't know them anyway. I was excited to finally make it to the PGA Tour and compete against golfers like Spieth, Thomas, Tiger, and DJ, but much to my dismay, was greeted by a plethora of generic players, names and faces. It sucked the life right out of the game. I was sure with PGA licensing you could choose to play as your favorite player, or at the very least AGAINST your least favorite. That is not the case.I will say that gameplay is solid. It is challenging but not too challenging. Fun courses. I haven't tried the course editor, but I hear good things. Putting is really tricky, but an extended training session will help all players get better. If you want a good game just to play a round of golf with friends, I'd highly recommend it. If you're looking for an authentic PGA experience where you play in story mode, keep on looking, this isn't the game for you.
