GLS Audio Speaker Plug Twist Lock 4 Pole Speaker Plug Compatible with Neutrik Speakon NL4FC, NL4FX, NLT4X, NL2FC - 4 Pack

I'm unhappy with the quality of these. Each connector comes with a choice of two strain relief collars, a white one for thinner cable, and a black one for heavier cable. I chose the black one. When I connected a ProCo 4-conductor 11-guage cable to these, it felt as though the screw terminals were stripping with a #1 phillips driver. The Neutrik brand uses Posidriv screw terminals so they expect a lot more torque than I was able to apply to these knockoffs. Then when I assembled the connector to the blue threaded collar, it also stripped and popped and didn't let me really tighten down the strain relief. There's no way I can trust these on my sound rig.Edit: I forgot to mention that even though I know the two center conductors are +1 and +2, they are not labeled as such.

At first sight these look like a quality item and if it weren't for the blue threaded end cap they would be. The blue threaded end cap screws on so far and then pops off. The plastic is too pliable. Then on top of that add some compression for the grommet to grip the wire, forget it. Bought 4 of them and they are absolutely worthless to me now. Lesson learned, next time Neutrik no questions.

It works very well and I am happy w/ it. Why 4 stars only, you may ask.As you know, each receptacle has 1+, 1-, 2+, 2- marking. You can NOT see them unless you take off the screw. Yes, the screw on that receptacle is in the way. If you are looking for 1+ to start, you have a 1 out of 4 chance to get to the right one. :-) No, this is not the end of the world, I know...As for the functionality, it works perfectly.

These are solid, high quality connectors that are extremely easy to install and function flawlessly. Be certain to use the Black stress relief insert for larger diameter cables, or the White insert for smaller cable. The ease of movement of the latch seems affected by the degree to which the rear Blue clamp is tightened when screwed on.The outer casing of the connector (containing the latch) serves nicely as a wire stripping gauge:Use the length of the larger diameter portion with the latch for stripping the outer rubber jacketUse the length of the smaller diameter threaded portion for stripping the wires themselves.I recently purchased a 100' 12AWG speaker cable, cut it in half, then cut one of the halves in half. Utilizing these connectors, I now have two 25', and one 50' speaker cable... which means that (with a Male-Male connector added), I have two 25' OR two 50' speaker cables at my disposal.

The quality control is not good. Only one out of the eight of these connectors actually fit into the panel mount connectors on my amplifiers and that one needed to be almost forced in.I’ll just deal with the shortcomings of the Neutrik connectors going forward.
