F-BER Suitcase Luggage Wheels Replacement Kit - OD40-64mm Wheels, ABEC 608zz, Set of 2

(It was very difficult to get the old suitcase wheel/axle off, but that doesn't have to do with this kit.) The new wheel kit itself, was very easy to install and seems to be very well made. I will have to take it out on a trip to do a final review.

I replaced 2 of the 4 wheels on my Samsonite under-seat suitcase, and the process was pretty straightforward.1) hacksaw (or drill) the existing wheels off the suitcase. I opted to hacksaw the axles, and each axle took approx. 5-minutes to dissemble and replace. This was necessary because my under-seat Samsonite suitcase had wheels that were riveted into place and couldn't be removed with a screwdriver.2) For my particular Samsonite suitcase, I should have ordered the 30mm axles. Even with my poor measurement skills, the 35mm axles worked fine, and the only downside with the longer axle was that I couldn't install the plastic axle-covers.That said, even and axle that was measured as 35mm instead of 30mm worked fine, so if you do a good job of measuring the wheel dimensions, you'll probably be okay! Measure twice, and order once.

My iT brand carryon uses smaller wheels than most bags and these were the only ones I found in that size. So I really didn't have much of a choice, but these fit and seem to be well made, only time will tell if the bearings last.

Everything was pretty straightforward. I tried installing using both washers but it made the fit too tight and this kept the wheel from spinning freely. I removed one washer and the wheel spins smoothly.
