will this work on door sills.

Yes. I used it on rockers to help with stone chips. No problems; I’ve used it on 2 different vehicles and it’s lasted at least 3 years. I’d suggest using a clay bar on the door sill before application. I used a hairdryer to mold around corners.

UV protection? (Would it keep polished headlights clear?)

It would protect against small stone chips and light scratches, not sure about UV.

Can you use this to put under stickers so they can be easily removed and not ruin paint?

Yes, you can use this under stickers. Just keep in mind that this is 8 mil (0.008 ") thick because it is meant to protect from scratches; there will be an "edge" where this piece ends. Two ways I can see this being done for your purpose... 1: Apply your sticker to the 3M film, and cut a larger area around the sticker so that it can be easier to apply or remove from your paint. 2: Apply your sticker to the 3M film, and trim the film evenly with your sticker for a neater appearance. Either way, the 3M film is clear, just that the area covered will be visible if you are looking for it. Good luck.

Is this matte or glossy?

Short answer is it's glossy. It is thin and very transparent, if you don't know it's on, you have to look for it. If you were putting it on a matte finish, it would be easier to see, but not conspicuous.
