No. They're glass, and while I suppose you could stack them, I wouldn't recommend it. Having said that, these being a gift to my wife, she loved them.

Yes, the Libbey Tiki Kahiko Rocks Glasses are dishwasher safe.

No not at all. They are standard glasses. I use them as every day drinking glasses and even in a french shaker where it wedges into the top of the cocktail shaker to shake drinks. No problem. Perhaps the "thin" review was a bad batch or something. Keep in mind they are not thick, but rather just like any other drinking glass. I haven't noticed any abnormal fragility with these at all.

Q: What is the exact volume to top of rim? I think most glasses for Mai Tai are 14 oz at rim top.

You are correct, a typical mai tai glass or double old fashioned as they are called, usually holds about 16 oz to the rim. These are indeed 13oz to the rim as stated in the description. But a mai tai is ony a little over 4 oz of actual cocktail, the rest is ice. I've used these to mix mai tais and they are just fine. I don't miss anything--the 2 oz is not an issue at all. Besides, they are nice looking, very polynesian and I'm not as worried about breakage as I would be with my Trader Vic's or other collectable dbl old fashioned glasses.
