Inside of lid looks like color is peeling from dark to the color of the pot.should I be concerned?

The color doesn't peel off, these pots are not sprayed painted, unless you got something slightly irregular. The original color fades away but it's normal on all aluminum products. My pot has been used for over a year and continues to do a wonderful job, I recommend it highly, I love the fact that when making the rice if you let it sit for a few extra minutes after cooking under a low flame, it will make the bottom of the rice nice and crispy.

Is this part round or oval shape and how deep is it

Not worth the money Isn't very bug ir deep at all and if you want to return the seller makes you pay for shopping so it's like ur losing $20 if you send back, a waste of time I have gotten bigger better posts for less and a much better quality I wouldn't recommend this to ANYONE
