A few years ago I did some routine blood work and was shown to be extremely vitamin d deficient. I was put on prescription vitamin d for a few weeks and then told to get a supplement over the counter. I like these because they're small and easy to swallow. I started taking a multivitamin at the same time, also Amazon brand, so I can't say if my improved sleep quality, mood and lessening of aches and pains was due to the vitamin d the multi or both. I would say all of my Amazon supplements are a wonderful value for the money for the price I pay for them now.

Hopefully this vitamin is helping me keep my bones, healthy. Have had fractures in back and pelvis and knee replacement and want to stay active and independent.

I have purchased this item half a dozen times now. I have yet to find the same 5,000 IU per tablet cheaper elsewhere.
