I'm so impressed with Solar Buddies. I've struggled for years to put suncream on my child who has autism. But she loves these, she says it feels like a relaxing massage. It's also much quicker which is great for wriggly kids who can't keep still.I like them because its so easy to use and there's no mess, it's a great size for your popping in your bag on days out.It has no problem with our once a day suncream, which is on the thick side. The sponge does a good job of rubbing the cream in, I only rub cream in with my hands on her face to help it sink in quicker, so that hair doesn't get stuck in the suncream.

Saw these on dragons den and purchased a set immediately.I suffer from vitiligo and have to put sunscreen on even with the winter sun. I find it very tedious as it’s very greasy and you always end up putting too much one.This product makes it so much easier to apply the sunscreen. It is evenly spread on your skin and there is no greasiness!You could use it to apply other creams etc too.I would like them to offer a larger cup size to avoid regular refilling.

Great item, took children a little while to get used to cause of the sponge, does feel like much has come out. But great now used to it. The sponge helps make sure it’s all rubbed in.Hold more suncream than expected.Overall very good product!!!

I absolutely love these things! My kids have one each in their school bag so they can top up their sun cream at midday. I hate applying sun cream and getting sticky hands. I’ve recommended to everyone I know

So I really liked the idea of these and when we received them the children were super excited to try them.Pros: super easy to apply, spreads in an even layer so no need to rub in, kids love them and want to use them independently.Cons: easy to apply *only* if held upright (which they won’t as you need to apply it horizontally or upside down depending on body part) as the roll-on only works when the cream is running downwards. Need to fill with a lot of sun cream at a time or super annoying to apply as it doesn’t flow so easy. Easy to get sand in the sponge if on the beach. Unless always washing sponge then not happy to use it to apply cream to the face. Not the most efficient use of sunscreen, goes much further when applied by hand. I filled the two containers with cream from a whole bottle of lotion and it ran out after 3 days. Normally a bottle lasts a week. Much was still in the container but no longer rolled on. Just a bit too faffy.So overall my feeling is that these are just not worth the hassle and are too wasteful with the sun cream (which is not cheap these days!). I did like the sponge applicator as it meant my hands stayed clean and application was smooth and even but even so, we won’t be using these again on our next trip.
