A New Favorite
Do you like loose leaf green tea? You'll probably like this just as much. Of course, it isn't the same flavor, but it reminds me of a good, strong flavored, loose leaf green tea. It's very smooth and mellow, but not stingy on taste. Their claims about how the caffeine hits ring true to me. It's a nice little pick-me up, but without the intensity of a big mug of coffee. Everything about this tea is just smooth and pleasant. I've also found that you can make a couple big mugs from each tea bag, a nice bonus since it is a little more expensive. All that said, Yaupon Brothers seems to be doing things right. All biodegrable packaging, sustainable farming, and producing an excellent product. When I can afford it, that's the kind of company I'd like to support anyway. Plus, how often can you support an American tea company!? Too cool! I can't wait for my fire roasted Warrior blend to get here so I can try it as well. I can also highly recommend the Florida Chai!

Best green tea ever
I've tried green tea from all over the world, but nothing compares to the quality and freshness of the green tea made right here in the USA. The aroma is rich, the flavor is smooth yet vibrant, and every sip feels pure and refreshing. It's perfectly balanced—never too bitter, just the right amount of earthiness with a delicate sweetness. Knowing it's grown and produced with high standards makes it even more enjoyable. This is, without a doubt, the best green tea I've ever had!

Not As Bitter As Others
I'm slowly working my way through yaupon brands, & so far, Yaupon Brothers' green tea is on top. It's not as bitter as some of the other roasted types & is very palatable. There definitely is a bitterness to it, & it doesn't taste like traditional green or black tea. I love that it's grown here on the east coast of the U.S. in a sustainable way & that unlike black or green teas, it doesn't make my heart race or my stomach hurt. The fact that it's loaded with antioxidants & other healthy substances seals the deal for me. Yaupon Brothers' packaging is beautiful (I'll probably use the empty box as a pencil holder), but I'd prefer cheaper packaging & a lower cost. I'd actually prefer loose tea in a bag.

It's good, worth trying if you like rooibos.
The Fire roasted dry packet smells sort of like my dads tobacco cabinet, but tastes similar to some Rooibos & Honeybush tea i like. Each packet lasts me around 4 cups before the flavor dims. Packets were not damaged. The green im trying right now and the dry packet smells sort of like some oolong i have. The taste is hard to place, like tea but not tea with some honey and no bitter flavor. I love it! :)

Wonderful blend!
I have ordered from this company before but not this blend. I think this is my favorite blend from this company. I have mixed it with milk and honey and it has been fantastic. Very satisfying on a cool night. It does have caffeine. I normally use loose leaf tea but this one is blended perfectly so it's not too strong or weak.

Great taste
I purchased the mint and I'm very well-pleased with the taste. I recently heard about Yaupon Holly a few weeks ago and the more I read about it, I wanted to give it a try. I brewed it for the recommended 5 minutes minimum and the color was identical to apple juice. I've heard you can't really oversteep it because of it's lower tannin content. Mint tea is one of my favorite teas and this one did not disappoint at all. Usually if you purchase a mint tea, you need to add another tea bag in the mix if you want caffeine but not with this one. It's definitely not as strong as a cup of coffee but is certainly comparable to a cup of black tea with caffeine. My one knock on this product is price for how much you get. I do understand it's a specialty tea and that's why I didn't mind paying the extra. I wanted to try it after all. 4 out of 5 from me. Overall a great tea with my only downside being price for quantity.
