Best strut spring compressor
Heavy duty made, unfortunately the two packages couldn't withstand the weight of the tool. The boxes were heavily damage when arrived. Manufacture needs to provide more cushion. My stand was missing the wheels and multiple areas had missing paint. Overall, best purchase I ever made. I just got tired of renting the two piece compressor from the auto parts store; it was dangerous and frustrating to spend all day for just two front struts. Whereas this strut compressor took 10 minutes to remove and replace safely. This might be expensive, but imagine spending a new $1000 phone every two years. This is worth an investment for all mechanics.

No stand
Good tool but no stand.

Will not work with bridge plate,
Latest model will not work with the Bridge-plate even though the instructions with the device say it is available if needed for short coils like on a Honda Civic. I ended up making my own bridge plate out of 3/8" X 3/4" steel and 5/8 steel rod.

Heavy duty strut compressor.
The strut compressor seems well built. It’s made of heavy gauge steel. Very heavy. Made short work of some struts I was replacing on a 2012 Corolla. The stand I purchased with the tool is a little flimsy. Should’ve been made of thicker gauge steel. The stand sags a bit under the weight of the strut compressor. I would say save your money and and don’t buy the stand. Build your own heavy stand for the tool as it’s pretty heavy.

Handles all strut with ease and safety!
Fantastic strut service tool that can handle any strut conceivable! Well made, low effort, heavy duty construction- best I have seen. Stant allows ease of movement to vehicle, a real bonus.

Used this on a 2007 ML350
Was able to compress a 2007 ML350 front springs but it did take more effort due to the beefy springs. Looking at videos online they are usually working on passenger car springs and make it look effortless. With truck/suv springs this compressor can handle them but it takes more effort.Had to readjust the arms a couple times to get the spring to compress straighter instead of lop sided.Agree with other reviewer that the stand is not as well built as the compressor. But it does the job and has held up well.

Worked for my use on replacing struts
Like the fact that Im not going to get metal stuck in my head like i almost did with those MacPherson pair of strut compressors. Its a lot safer using the strut tamer and well worth not going to the hospital. My old car has a dent in the hood where i cold have been killed or severely injured with MacPherson. The stand is not so bad either. No prob there with my buick struts.Again the strut tamer is worth the money, instead of a large hospital bill. Even cheaper in comparison .Last thing, I would use the Valvoline Multi-Vehicle High Temperature Red as a lubricator on the threads with the amount of heat and torque on them compressing the struts.
