Fantastic way to make crisp popcorn-fast & clean.
I love popcorn. When an enthusiastic headline came up on my phone, I opened the article and read it. Mmmm, I thought, is this actually from the company that makes this product? The author was so excited about this new way to pop popcorn he called it the best ever. I did a bit more research and decided to buy and try. I ordered the smaller one, 4 quarts, poured the kernels into the measuring circle on the lid, dumped it into the bowl, put the lid on, stuck it in the microwave and viola, 2.5 minutes later, all done. Dry, crisp, delicious popcorn. So easy, so good. Drizzle whatever you want over it, usually good olive oil for me, and enjoy.Warning though, I use a towel to lift the bowl out as it is HOT. I also put the popcorn in another bowl which keeps the silicone one clean, rinse and store. Also I am using lots more popcorn now! I plan to take this with me on our RV road trip.I highly recommend it. I used to pop corn in a pan with oil. This is so much better-easier, cleaner, and faster. I am buying one for my granddaughter's birthday.

Best popcorn popper I’ve ever had
I was skeptical - what could this silicon bowl do better that a regular pot on the stove? Turns out, it’s way better. The microwave cooks more evenly, and in this popper I’ve never had single a burnt kernel, but nor are there a ton of left over unpopped kernels! It’s so easy to use - just put in a couple tablespoons of oil (I use avocado oil, and add in a bit of salted butter). Put in the kernels, turn on the microwave, and voila, perfect popcorn every time! We’ve ended up using this a lot. It folds up small so it doesn’t take up much space, and can be washed in the dishwasher. Add a bag of organic kernels and you’ve got a great gift set.

Great popper with a few flaws
Overall, I like this product and find it easy to use. I deducted one star because it has three flaws. 1. Because the bowl and lid are flexible, it can be tough to get the lid on correctly, especially the first few times you use it. There’s a bit of a learning curve. 2. Because the bowl is flexible and gets quite hot, it can be hard to take it out of the microwave with hot pads and not spill the popcorn. Consequently, I recommend putting the popper inside a microwave-safe bowl. 3. It is impossible to pop all of the kernels without burning some of the popcorn. So I usually settle for underpopping it to make sure it’s not burned. Otherwise, it works well and is very easy to clean. It’s also very easy to store, especially since the bowl collapses. I use it without oil or butter, so it helps me have very healthy snacks.

PERFECT GIFT for a POPCORN addict or anyone trying to avoid processed snack foods!
This is my second purchase - I have an older one in black that suffered through my learning curve (and older microwave) when I was figuring out how long to microwave, and overdid it. (I scorched the original, but it was perfectly useable, by the way. I just liked the pretty red!) PERFECT popcorn every time. Be aware that it will be hot when you remove it - you may want a dishtowel. I fill the bottom round with popcorn kernels - one layer only- and microwave for 3 minutes on normal level. Empty the popcorn in a bowl and drizzle - or spray - either avocado oil or good olive oil. Sprinkle with salt, nutritional yeast, spices, whatever your heart desires. Do not put the oil in with the popcorn when popping - I tried that, but it is not the best choice, and clean up is a pain. I can wipe it out with a paper towel or rinse with water, and it's good to go for another round.

So Easy to Use
My Mom loves popcorn but doesn't like the microwave bags and all the artificial butters on them. With this bowl, you simply pour the popcorn kernels in, microwave for a couple of minutes, depending on the size of your microwave and great popcorn with no artificial ingredients. This size is great for one person for snack time.

Works great!
I wasn't sure if this bowl would work, but it turns out to produce great popcorn, and is super easy to use. I recommend getting the larger size, and just put in fewer corn kernels if only serving one or two people. Collapses almost flat, so doesn't take up much room.

Gets very hot after cooking popcorn
We like this bowl but it’s not the best. Firstly, it gets very hot and you need oven mitts or a towel to get it out of the microwave. You can’t go straight to eating unless you put a towel on your lap. Also, it’s too small to make popcorn for two people, so we end up dumping it on another bowl so we can make more. Plus, if you follow the directions with the appropriate amount of kernels, it pops the bowl so full that you can’t drizzle it with butter or oil and put the lid back on to shake it around, it just sits there bec it’s to full. We wanted a bowl with a lid specifically so we didn’t have to transfer to another bowl and stir the toppings around, which inevitably ends up with popcorn spilling out all over the counter. And then there’s two dirty bowls. Overall, it’s a convenient way to make popcorn and it will leave just about a dozen kernels unpopped at the bottom of the bowl. But I might try a different brand next time. I like that it goes in the dishwasher and collapses for storage.

Exactly what I wanted
We absolutely love this bowl! I just add the popcorn (love that the lid has a built-in measuring area), butter, and popcorn salt all at once, pop in the microwave, and it’s perfection. Very few unpopped kernels, and so much easier than stovetop, plus no gnarly chemicals like the bags. It is quite hot, so use a dish towel, ovglove, or potholder to remove. One tip: wash by hand with a scent-free dish soap, otherwise the popcorn tastes like dishwashing soap or dishwasher detergent, just like anything else silicone. But my daughter and I are pretty sensitive to taste.
