This carpet cleaner exceeded my expectations. It’s easy to use, powerful, and pulled out dirt I didn’t even know was there. My carpets look and smell fresh again—definitely worth the buy!

My lovely new carpet washer arrived the other day. It's a VAX, like my earlier one. I was very happy with it, but it effectively died about a year ago, so, when I saw this one I went for it. This one is bigger, but not heavier, because a lot of the parts are plastic, and it's MUCH more powerful. My long pile cream rug has come up beautifully, the hall rugs are back to their original colour and the areas I cleaned look great. But... I cleaned out the clean water tank easily, then the dirty water tank resisted, so I tugged gently... Sigh... One soaked shoe and sock and a wee pile of yuky water later... Probably my fault. But the amount of cat fur this machine removed from the rug, along with last summer's cat flea powder and goodness knows what else was...shocking, really. It's a bit tricky to remove that amount of gunge from underneath, but what a BARGAIN!! And I'll get used to removing the dirty water tank...or I could wear wellies next time.

Some other reviewers have commentated that the machine does not feel very robust. This is true enough but it is intended for occasional, not commercial, use and costs £99, so I think it is good enough.The water tanks are quite small and will need refilling/emptying more than once when cleaning even a quite small carpet. Of course, a bigger tank would have made a more expensive and cumbersome machine. So beware of this but personnaly I didn't really think it a problem. I found the screw cap on the clean water tank has an annoying tendancy to cross-thread. There is a certain knack to locating the water tanks into the body of the machine, although once learned they are quick and easy to remove and replace.The dirty water uptake at the front of the machine is narrow and prone to clogging, especially with pet hairs and similar fibres. Another reviewer recommends cleaning this with an artists brush. I found that a narrow, long handled bottle-brush worked very well. I also found that the mesh screen on the body of the machine (which the waste water tank engages with) got blocked with fluff and reduced the suction very noticeably.The machine also gets clogged with hairs etc. under the brushes. It is easy enough to remove the rollers to facititate cleaning this area using a screw driver. Just make sure to consult the manual to work out which screws to remove. It's not completely obvious looking that the base of the machine. It has a lot of similar screws down there!All-in-all the machine needs a little care & attention when being used to ensure it works optimally. I think that improvements in design could reduce some of these weaknesses but none of them are insurmountable in normal use.I think this item represents good value-for-money and it works well. I am sure there are better carpet cleaners out there, but probably not at this price.

The item was easy to assemble and the instructions are basic but straight forward. I had a bit of a nightmare when removing the dirty water tank to empty it, it was a little fiddly and it spilt all over the floor, Luckily I was in the kitchen so it was easy to wipe up off the tiles. Pleased with the results, it’s so satisfying seeing the yucky dirty water and the pet hair in the tank, due to having 2 dogs I hoover every other day and had hoovered prior to using the carpet cleaner so I was shocked to see how much hair was in the tank and wrapped in the brushes!! Im a little disappointed that the smell of the solution isn’t stronger, although the smell is pleasant I do like stronger smelling fragrances around the home, it’s not enough to knock off a star though and won’t be an issue if you don’t like strong fragrances, as long as it cleans the carpets and removes dirt that’s the main thing. It’s definitely worth having especially if you do have pets and/or children, it brings carpets back to life. Saw a few comments saying it’s loud, i personally don’t think it’s that much louder than your average hoover. It also comes with a bag (which has a hanger on) to store your accessories/solutions/instruction manual etc which is a nice extra. I found it easy to use and got the hang of it pretty quickly (press the handle when pushing forward, release the handle when pulling back) I haven’t tried the pre treatment wand or smaller nozzle yet so can’t comment on those. Overall I would recommend this item and think it’s definitely good quality for the price.

I recently purchased this carpet cleanerI am really impressed with it , easy to use , has cleaned the carpets up well , ideal if you have pets .Some negative reviews about noise but it’s ok , only what I’d expect from a carpet cleanerI would recommend

I have 4 large dogs and carpet which is not a good combination. :) I bought this machine and I was amazed by how nicely it cleaned the carpet. I mostly used the hose bit as to me it feels more effective. Downside is that I had to empty the dirty water and fill in with clean water multiply times, which is time consuming. Also not sure if its normal, but despite carefully attaching the tanks and all parts it’s leaking a bit at the back of the machine. It is pretty noisy though, would not like to spend a whole day using it. :)Also not sure yet whats the best way of cleaning the bottom as dog hair stuck inside. My overall feedback is its a great machine for the price.

Was a bit nervous buying this after reading some of the reviews but I can honestly say it's brilliant!! I did my carpets a month ago with my hand held cleaner and didn't expect much to come up I'm shocked but what it did bring up and it don't soak your carpets i kept going over and it really hardly left any water ! I'm really happy and now I've brought a new dog this is going to come in handy! And you get a pre wash solution and a pet wash! So far so good! Really pleased it's also light weight but it's really noisy

Good machine, easy to use ,remove marks and cleaned the carpets very well.Well priced.
