Aquascape 98892 Cold Water Beneficial Bacteria for Pond and Water Features, 8-Ounce

My outdoor fish pond is basically a pea soup, can’t see the fish, has a pump and filter, and plants, this product did nothing, its useless, the pond is still a pea soup after several weeks of use as per instructions. My advice is try it but be prepared for disappointment. My local garden centre has a pond specialist she said I need a UV lamp filter to kill the algae, so that’s my next move, all the best hope this helps!

I have a small goldfish 🐠 pond. Early winter I noticed quite some algae growing. I used this product and the result is obvious, clearer water and limited algae visible.

This was my first year with this bacteria, and I'm very impressed! I have a 900 gallon pond, and I live in Michigan. The pond goes from clear (winter) to green as soon as it warms up even slightly. This year, I cleaned the biological filter medium and got the sludge out of the bottom, removed the leaves from the bottom, and put two squirts on the filter and 7 squirts in the pond. I dosed 2x during the first week (3 days apart), used 2 Microbe Lift Spring/Summer cleaner packs and started Nualgi weekly treatments and the pond was crystal clear within the first week. I bought two bottles of the bacteria and will continue treatments according to directions until I'm out. I have plans to buy this again next spring! This was the easiest spring start-up yet. I've already recommended this to two pond-owning friends.

My pond water was tea coloured from the leaves over winter. I can definitely see a positive difference in the water colour since using this product.

I think it's working...??? I will say the pump doesn't work so well. 6 squirts (which the bottle said should be the right amount for my pond size) and half the bottle was gone. I think it spits out too much at once. Might be a defective pump..??
