Excellent quality and packaging, useful piece of equipment at affordable price
It took me a while to find this brilliant piece of technology. I wanted a USB hub with lighted ports so I could use it at night without having to switch on the main light or guessing where the port is.There are few options out there, but they are all ugly, the Atolla USB Hub is the best in my opinion for quality, packaging, aesthetics, and functionality. It provides 4 ports to charge your mobile devices (1 extra is on the side which I found super useful to hide my phone docking station cable) and 7 USB 3.0 data ports to attach all your USB peripherals and thumb drives. So far I've used it with my Sandisk Extreme thumb drivers and they work a charm, as well as my USB headphones and microphones. Not a problem, the devices were recognized in less than a blink of an eye and worked perfectly.I can't comment much on durability as I only had it for a little while, but from what I can feel the device is very sturdy and well built so I'd guess it'll live a long life. There are also smaller options with fewer ports in case there is less real estate but I had space so I wanted the biggest, and last but not least the price is quite competitive for the quality of the product.Couldn't be happier, I would highly recommend this to anyone.

Does exactly what I want it to.
I use USB hubs to help save the ports in my laptop.I've bought a few cheap ones in the past, but you get what you pay for. They weren't up to the job and they didn't last.I know this is meant to be plugged into a 3.0 port, and I know my laptop has one, but they aren't marked, so I just plugged this into the one I thought was right. I was wrong. I had my keyboard, mouse and hard drive plugged in, and initially it worked. After a little while though the mouse stopped responding. The moral of that story is that it has to be plugged into the correct port if you want it to work properly. So anyway. I finally worked out which was the correct port and now I have my keyboard, mouse, 2 hard drives, a gaming controller, 2 charging cables and a USB to 3.5 mm jack all plugged in to one device. I've tested it out and with everything switched on and most things in use, it all works really well. The only slight issue I had was that when I listened to music through headphones that were plugged directly into the laptop, it would come out of the laptop as well as the headphones. No idea why. I had a USB to 3.5 mm jack converter, so I plugged it into this USB hub and all is good. Life is complete. At this point I can't comment on it's durability, but it has an 18 month warranty and if it lasts that long, I'll be happy.

Technically Perfect - One Design Issue
This powered USB hub works extremely well. It is convenient - especially if you have a PC with a hard-to-reach USB port at the rear - it is compact, simply to operate and well made. It is made from reasonable quality, injection-moulded plastic. The per-port power switches also mean that it is ideally suited to use as a power supply to, for example, a Raspberry Pi (or system-on-a-board) computers. I haven't had a chance to confirm throughput claims, but have some USB storage on order and will update this review when I have some results.Positive Points:-1. Well made, easy to use2. The individual, per-port switches make it ideal for managing a collection of USB-powered devices, such as a cluster of Raspberry Pi (or similar) computers3. Good quality USB plug and sockets4. External (brick) PSU and reasonable length power leadsNegative Points1. It's at the pricier end of the spectrum, but it is important to note that there are a lot of features, design and quality components in use here. You get what you pay for.2. The LED Lights that illuminate active ports are stupidly, excessively bright. They are also surface-mounted, which means that the light floods a room, rather than being partly recessed to limit the light pollution. 7 of the ports feature blue LEDs, which are the worst for disturbing sleep and impacting eyesight.Sum-Up. Excellent quality product. Cover off the excessive LEDs with some black masking tape and this is just about perfect.

Nice
It's just the right size, led lights on the usb ports looks cool and makes it easy to connect devices in the low light, individual switch for every port except the one on the back which is always on. Press the switch to switch on the usb port or hold it for 1-2 seconds to switch it off. The hub also has it's own power supply, 12V power adapter included.

reliable USB hub
I just bought a third one of these because they're good USB hubs. Plugged into a USB 3 port you will get good data speeds from them. Make sure that you connect the included power supply to it, so that when you have a lot of devices plugged in they will all work. The data ports light up blue when switched on and the charging only ports light up red. There is a button next to each port which can be tapped to turn it on. You have to hold it down for a second or so to turn the port off. You will probably want to turn off ports that are not in use since they are quite bright, especially in a darker room at night. I have used mine for hundreds of hours and they just keep working, which is all you can ask of a USB hub.

Lasted 7 years! :-)
I bought this in 2018 and it's lasted the best part of 7 years. It's been excellent up until about a month ago, when a couple of the USB 3.0 inputs have stopped working. I think that 7 years worth of use is more than good by any standards, hence the 5 stars. I would have bought another, but I need more inputs now, so have purchased a different one with 10 x USB 3.2 inputs. I would recommend this highly though, for anyone who needs up to 7 USB 3.0 inputs.
