Slay The Spire: The Board Game - Cooperative Fantasy Board Game

Amazing adaptation of the video game. Other long-coop games tend to burn me out, but the frequency of decisions in this game makes it feel a lot more fast-paced. The updates to cards in the boardgame are all very creative and fit the game very well. There's not a ton of "admin" as the game has been simplified quite a bit.The collaborative aspect of it is very fun as it's much easier to set up crazy combos when you have multiple other people to work with. Getting rewards always feels so good - the card rewards are genuinely addictive, much moreso than in the video game.Feels very balanced so far as well.With 3 people, our first run of Act 1 took a little over 2 hours, but that's likely due to it being our first time with the board game.My copy arrived in perfect condition as well, no issues with the delivery.

This is a really great game. It took about 2 months to arrive, and the package was damaged but the board game box and game inside were untouched.I’ve played it a couple of times and it is extremely fun. I never played the video game version but I can say this game is right up my alley. I have played many cooperative board games and this is honestly one of the best I’ve ever played. The cooperative element is in the form of different complimenting character abilities, individual character decks, and all players take their turns simultaneously, making it feel very much like a team game. 10/10.

This is an extremely faithful and well thought-out implementation of the famous video game in boardgame form. Must also give praise to how well designed the insert organizer is for this game, everything snugly fits, and makes setup and teardown easy for game nights. I will emphasis that this game is meant to be played by at least 2 characters, as it seems the challenges are designed to be around that player count. You can run 1 character solo, but expect it to be a much, much harder experience overall.Only complaint is that green figurine for Silent came damaged; the figure was detached form its base. Other than that, no other complaints.

Love the original video game, so I’m definitely the target audience for this, but it did a really good job of translating that game into a board game. Very slow with four players, would probably say two/three is best.

The board game is a phenomenal adaptation of Slay the Spire that captures what is loved about the original game. The rules are easy to learn and intuitive, and I believe that the gsme would be just as fun for those that are unfamiliar with the computer game. Its perfect.

I ordered a deluxe edition for $185 and when my package arrived, my order in Amazon had been changed. It displays an error, but selecting it links to the basic version, which is listed at $115. I am returning this game because I feel like I have been duped. Looking for a reimbursement in the price difference, but so far Amazon support has been of no assistance. Hopefully I can just return this for the refund, get another, and find deluxe piece upgrades elsewhere.The game itself is great. It's difficult and more recommended for strong strategy minded players. Those that have played the video game will likely enjoy it more because it will be intuitive. One to four players, with 4 different playable characters/decks.
