I have owned numerous steam generators over past 20 years with at least 3 Tefal and the most recent being a Bosch.They all take ages to heat up, consume lots of water and after a short while "spit" water out of baseplate meaning having to reach garments.using alternative water / de-mineralised etc. make little difference . All have failed within 4 to 5 years (obviously too early to say how long this will last but am optimistic)I have only had this iron a few months and considering that is under half the price of the Tefal/ Bosch performs way better.The smaller sole plate is actually a major advantage as the others have become tool large and save little time.I love the touch controls and will recommend to friends and family, certainly buy another without hesitation.Considering the water tank is about half the size of competition, it last nearly twice as long (less waste I guess?)Had tried to find fault, but honestly can think think of nothing bad to say.

This can operate either horizontally as you would with an iron, or vertically as a steamer which makes it very versatile. It heats up quickly, and gives off a good amount of steam, making things wrinkle free with the minimal amount of effort. With a good capacity tank there is no need to keep refilling it, and with the space-saving option to wall mount for storage this is a good quality product that works very well.

Personally I think it’s also easier to use than a normal iron.With its 1600w powered steam output this ensures a rapid heat up time and consistent steam delivery making removing wrinkles from your clothes very easy.This is ready to use straight out of the box.You will need to fill the water tank with bottled water so do make sure you are aware of this as tap water will damage the machinery in the long run. Once switched on this heats up pretty quickly and is ready to use within a minute or two.This has 3 levels of steam control allowing you to adjust the steam output to suit different fabrics. The continuous steam function provides a good flow of steam while the burst of steam feature helps to remove stubborn creases.The first thing I noticed is that the cord on this is a little short. You also need to find a place where this can be set up easily. We have a pull up bar on one of our doorways and this steamer hooked very easily over the bar along with the item to be ironed. Despite the length of the cord being quite short this didn’t really impact us but I can for-see situations where the cord will be a little on the short side for some.To look at the steamer is about the same size as a standard iron - you won’t need an ironing board so saving on storage, as well as being comfortable to hold. .While this steam generator iron is a powerful and efficient tool (you can see this by the before and after pictures on the items I ironed on this review) after a while of holding it, it can feel a little heavy for those longer ironing sessions. Also I do feel that this is a tad on the pricey side for what it does even though it does do it well. If you don’t like the traditional way of ironing and need something to iron your clothes then this is something I’m happy to recommend.
