Fantastic Simple Toy for Traveling!
I really like the 20 Inch LCD Writing Tablet, Rechargeable Colorful Screen with Anti-Lost Stylus, Erasable Doodle Board Toddler Drawing Pad. I have several like this that are smaller, which my older grandchildren enjoy, but this is even better for younger children. Young children like to make wide, sweeping gestures. When they color, they prefer big sheets of paper. They need room to explore! What I love best about these tablets is that they make great travel toys. Little children don't sit still very well. And while we might think a fifteen minute trip to or from Day Care every day isn't that big a deal, to a child, it is. We drive - we have something to do. We need to watch for traffic, pedestrians, wild life, bouncing balls, wagons, strollers, red lights, downed branches, open manhole covers, how much gas we have, the price of gas at the last station, how much farther to the next station, how long until we absolutely must stop for gas, and still answer our child's endless questions with a modicum of interest! The child, however, has NOTHING to do! He just sits in his child safety seat, which is more like a prison, and his wiggling little body demands release. His active mind jumps from subject to subject. His mouth is about the only body part he can easily move, so he jabbers constantly. "Jamie threw up in school. Sophie ate it, and that made Teacher throw up a bit. Throw up really smells, mommy. Sophie ate a crayon, too. She likes chalk better. Did you ever eat chalk when you were little?" Sometimes mommy just wants a bit of quiet at the end of the day, but the child won't be ready for silence for another ten years or so.So- providing something for him to do, even on short car trips, is very important! And this tablet is a huge success. I love that it is all together. There is one board and a pen, that slides into a side loop. The board comes with two pens, which is nice. But I'd rather that one pen was attached with a string, so the child could retrieve it if he dropped it.There are no little bits to drop and roll around on the floor of the car. There are no crayons to melt on hot days. There are no toy pieces to fall out of the car every time you open the door. And the board itself isn't that expensive. I keep the recharging cord in the glove box, but the tablet holds a charge for days.Lighted boards are great for kids to doodle on. And this 20-inch lighted board is perfect for younger children.

I like it, but....
I do like this 20 Inch LCD Writing Tablet, but I have a few problems/issues with it.First, it came in pink. I don't recall it saying it would be pink, but to me that's pretty minor. It's not like I won't use it because it's pink and it doesn't affect it's functionality. The 2 styluses are pink as well, and there's a handy loop on the side of the board to store the stylus.Next, I'm not really sure how to best describe this, but the writing is...dim. Apparently there's two versions of "writing", a rainbow colored line and a mono-colored line. I got the rainbow color. It just doesn't appear to be easily readable, especially in direct lighting. I tried different pressures on the stylus, but didn't want to press too hard and damage it. But the different pressures didn't seem to make a difference. If I leaned back while holding the board, and the light source was in front of me, it was easier to read. So maybe it's a glare issue??Charging time was decent, and I've been using it for a couple of days it it shows no sign of being low on battery. The features work well, everything is indeed quickly erased with the touch of a button. Likewise you can protect what you've written from being erased with the sliding of a switch. I have found a "loophole" with that though. While the switch does prevent your writing from being erased, it doesn't prevent someone from coloring/writing over it. So imagine if you had an important message you jotted down and then protected it with the switch thinking you're safe, then your toddler comes up and scribbles all over it and basically just obliterates anything you've written.Lastly, I would swear that I saw that the back was magnetic and remember it saying "can be easily be magnetically attached to the fridge and used as a family message board". But this isn't magnetic. After discovering it wasn't magnetic I went back to the listing, and being magnetic is not mentioned anywhere. So, maybe I'm mistaken, but my wife remembers it too, so I don't know. I can't and won't take a star off or downgrade my review as I can't find any supporting documentation to my claim. With all that being said, I think it would be a good and helpful selling point if the back was magnetic though. So, while overall this does exactly what it states it will do, I just don't feel it does the "writing" portion well. The dimness of the writing is just too troublesome for me and I can't get past it. All the other features work and are spot on, and if the writing were more readable this would easily be a 5 star review. As it stands, I just took a single star off because of the readability issue.Would I order it again? Probably, even with the readability issue. Likewise with recommending it to others.A++++

I'm a fan of this!
It's awesome! Huge!!! And it has an inbuilt, rechargeable battery .... it's perfect for me! Although it says for kids, I love it. This is what I wanted. I draw up ideas often, or take notes (this is too big and awesome for notes... I have smaller tablets for that), and this tablet does not disappoint. The blue color is my favorite, you can clearly see and read what you're writing (there's good contrast between the black background and the colorful writing). Note that the color changes depending on where on the tablet you write, this is a kids feature I guess. I don't mind it, it makes for more fun designs. My favorite part is that I can recharge the battery, but nevertheless it lasts a long long time. I have this for a few months now and charged only twice - once upon receipt (I always charge anything before using it) and then once after 2 months of use. Perfect! I don't know how long it took to recharge as I just put it on overnight. I will definitely buy this again, it's a bargain for the price and I really enjoy it!

Modern Version of the beloved "Magic Slate" !!
Remember “Magic Slate”? I played with those as a kid and always thought they were the greatest. But, well, we were easy to amuse in the 1960’s.This is a modern version of that very toy—and I find my grand kids are just as happy with this LED screen as I was with the Magic Slate. It keeps them occupied both in the house and on short trips in the car; I’m glad I have more than one! It is inexpensive, clean and creative fun for them (and quieter than the games they like to play on my phone…) Although it is promoted for ages 3-7 in the marketing ad, I found that my older grand kids, ages 12 and 14— also enjoyed playing on it. Unlike the Magic Slate, this is colorful and they can make two different size lines depending on which end of the stylus they use. They can either immediately erase their work or save it depending on their mood at the time. It charges up for use quickly—less than 30 minutes the first time I charged it for them. Speaking of which—It does not come with a charger. It requires a C charger, which you can pick up at any discount store, grocery store or even at the gas station.

Great boogie board
Got this as a fun toy for the kids. It's fun ot draw on and write little notes to each other. Great idea!Pros+ Easy. Just write it and then push the button to erase it. Great for writing notes and leaving on the table so you know your kids were at the park or a friend's house. And no wasted paper.+ Size. This boogie board is huge. It fits a lot of messages and even does pretty well with artwork. And when you're done, just poof it like it never was. Like 20th century snapchat.+ Battery. It's nice that this boogie board is rechargeable. That makes much more economical sense.Cons+ There's no erase for individual lines like some other boogie boards. If you have to erase, you have to erase the whole thing.+ Also, the lock button doesn't work on mine. So things can be erased by accident.
