Great size and stainless steel
Got hot quickly and kept the temp stable. Good size for 4-6 people. Possibly 8, but a bigger reach. Very easy cleaning. Good all around size and heat. Used oil for meat fondue.

Review from a lifelong fondue-lover: excellent set!
I grew up in the 70s; we had fondue (old style with oil) for every special occasion. In the 80s my college roommate was Swiss and she made traditional cheese fondue for us. In the 90s when I had a family I wanted to recreate my childhood traditions. Around that time the Melting Pot restaurant was getting popular; I bought their cookbook which has all their recipes! And since then we have had fondue for every special occasion. We love it!I've had a lovely fondue set for 2 decades but it is aging, so I was very excited to get a new one! Although we always have fondue for Christmas Eve, we were dying to try out the new set and did so last night. I will review it's features and it's performance.FEATURES:+ It's electric. After trying a variety of heating systems (sterno, cartridges), I have learned that electric provides the most even and consistent heat.+ It's stainless steel. This is ideal- stainless steel is non reactive, does not absorb odors, heats evenly, and is dishwasher safe. I prefer it to ceramic.+ It's in 2 pieces. This is brilliant! It means that the base stays on the table and the pot lifts off for quick cleaning between courses. Best of all, it means that the pot goes in the dishwasher! This is (obviously) not possible with a one-piece electric pot.+ Comes with an inset for your forks, and 8 colored forks. You definitely need this for the meat course.+ The handles stay cool so it's easy to remove the pot from the base.+ Easy control temperature knobPERFORMANCE:+ We started with traditional swiss cheese fondue. The cheeses melted evenly and the temperature was easy to control (I turned it to 3 when melting, and then down to 2). We dipped bread and apples, which were delicious. Best of all, it was so easy to wipe clean between courses!+ Our main course was shrimp, chicken, and steak in a mojo style broth. Again the heat was even and easy to control. Again, the pot was easy to wipe clean.+ We had milk chocolate fondue for dessert, with fruit to dip. The chocolate warmed up well without burning, and stayed warm without congealing. I washed the pot in the dishwasher which was so easy!TIPS FOR FONDUE NEWBIES:+ One pot is good for a family of four (unless you don't want clean between courses). For more than 4 you need 2 pots.+ Since you obviously don't want raw meat on the plate you're eating from, it's best to keep the raw proteins in bowls for everyone to pick from (with their fondue forks) as they go. Keep your fondue plate free from raw meat, and if you want to buy plates with little wells for the sauces, that works great. (Similarly, use your fondue forks to cook the raw meat, and your regular cutlery to eat from.) And keep a slotted spoon nearby to rescue dropped food.+ You absolutely need a cookbook and I highly recommend the Melting Pot cookbook. It gives recipes for the different broth styles, the different dipping sauces, marinades and seasonings, the different styles of cheese fondue, and several different chocolate fondue recipes. Yum!+ One reviewer said they would like to seal the pot to save what's in it? That's not a thing. You are cooking meat in the broth, it needs to be tossed after. (I guess you could save leftover chocolate fondue but when is there leftover chocolate?)+ Fondue is a fun and social meal. If you have 2 pots you can have people over and I guarantee a great time. Everyone can eat what they want, cooked how they want, and there will be lots of laughs as you all cook together over the common pot.BOTTOM LINE:Nice stainless steel electric fondue pot that comes in 2 pieces for super easy cleanup. Serves four well. You will have delicious and super fun family time, over and over!

It should be called FUN-do!
I've never had a fondu pot before but have always wanted one in spite of (or possibly because of) the classic episodes of That 70's show featuring the fondu pot.So far we have only used store-bought fondu cheese mixes in the pot, but it has been great for melting them and keeping them warm to dip our veggies into. I love dips and love having hot dips when my partner and I are having a movie or game night. The pot is easy to turn on and off and it melts our cheesy dip well. I use the lowest setting and have not had any issues. I like the forks that came with the set and love the fact that they're marked with different colors on the handles, making it easier to keep track of who each one belongs to. Usually it is just my partner and I so double dipping and fondue etiquette don't really matter for us, but I like that it is thoughtfully made.I plan on using this for chocolate in the future and will update my review if any issues arise as I use it for more than just pre-made cheesy dips.

Fun fondue set, also works for hot pot
This is a great fondue set. It was easy to set up and there are easy recipes for the fondue cheese.I love hot pot and it was especially good for this because you can put the meat on your little fork and stick it in the pot to cook without having to hold it the whole time.It is a decent size and very functional. One thing to watch for is don’t let it continue to stay at the same temp when you only have a little fondue left. It get stuck to the sides and makes it harder to clean.Overall, I’m very happy with this and would definitely recommend it!

Good fondue pot
This electric fondue pot heats up quickly and is so much fun for date night! It keeps everything at a perfect temperature and is easy to clean afterward. Great for chocolate, cheese, or whatever you’re in the mood for. Definitely a fun addition to the kitchen!

Temperature nob setting sucks!!
I did not like that the nob to control settings is so movable. If it would click in to next settings to heat would be better. My wafers to make chocolate actually burned firsttime using it .I accidentally hit nob and it moved to last setting number.
