Really great product!
We got this for our 12 year old for Christmas! It’s March and it’s still working great! She still loves it!

Ok, so you know those "you get what you pay for" (derogatory) reviews you get for reasonably priced items? This is the OPPOSITE of that. This is my new best friend! It was dead simple to tranfer most of the files from my busted iPod touch to here. I even used iTunes to transfer partway with minimal issues (can't fix the initial software completely, lol). The battery life is amazing. The device is small enough to fit even in smaller pockets on women's jeans! There is a minor issue with connecting bluetooth long-term, but I like wiring myself in, so idk. The sound is immaculate, even on tracks my iPod would glitch on. This guy is the gigachad of multimedia players, tbh. It doesn't do extra apps, but who cares? If I need a camera, I'll use a smartphone. For a device that functions WITHOUT internet distractions, it's beyond perfect. Can't beat the price, either. Also, I've dropped this thing a couple times on vinyl flooring. The screen has a few minor scratches. I'll say it louder for the Apple holdouts in the back: I DROPPED THIS A LOT AND I CAN STILL USE IT, PRACTICALLY ZERO DAMAGE. Its like the Nokia 2007 phone of MP3 players. Love, love, love!

**Updated review**
**Update**So, the supplier did get back to me about the failed device - It was a few days after but at least they did. They offered a full refund or a new device. I chose the new device because I really do like the music player. The new one is up and running, hopefully for good. If I had no issues at all this would have been a 5 star review, the player is that good. I changed it to a 4 star for the hassles, but I appreaciate the way they offered to rectify the failed device, I give kudos for thatI recommend this device1 star for the product1 star for customer serviceFirst the product:I loved it! Fantastic - until it died a few weeks past the return date. No power on, no charging, dead.Second, customer service:I tried to contact the manufacturer through Amazon product help, filled out the form, no response - still waiting after 5 days.Maybe I just got a lemon? You would think the manufacturer would want to avoid a 1 star review? Nah... good luck if you buy this player!

Great for younger kids who you DONT want to have a cell phone!
We bought this for my niece for a Christmas gift. She is constantly wanting to listen to her own music, in the car, at home, wherever. However since she’s so young (6yrs) we don’t want her to have a cell phone/ even an iPad yet because of how easy it is for them to get attached to screens with all the downloadable apps and games. This is perfect for her! It comes with pre-downloaded apps for her to use just for music! There was a Google chrome app which we deleted. It has great sound, comes with PLENTY of storage and we can put parental guides on it. It’s very well made it does not feel cheap. And it will be easy for her to keep on her because it’s not huge, it will fit in any bag if she takes it to her grandparents. Overall, LOVE this product!

Software is an absolute failure.
Avoid this product. The SD card slot will not hold the SD card, it will not lock. The battery indicates less than 2 hours playback after being fulling charged and less than a minute after unplugging the player the battery indicates it dropped to 95%. The "music" player is very simple, it has skip track and previous track, it does not remember where it leaves off, to advance there is a crude scroll. The audio/music app is locked and can not be switched for a different program. Apple music never loads. The player hardware okay but the software is so bad it is not worth the price. Look elsewhere.

Tiny keyboard for fat fingers
Seemed good enough but my fat fingers could t use small keyboards. Returned.

Good for the cost
Connects to Spotify - Kids enjoy using this and connecting it to their own portable JBL speaker. We had purchased another one and returned it because the quality was terrible - this is great for the costs. Good sound quality, easy to use

I love this thing!
Pros: After enabling installation of other apps (in the parental controls section in settings), I was able to install android apps (that I made, I'm an indie game dev)! I LOVE this feature. I just followed the instructions in the booklet, transferred the apk packages to the Downloads folder, and they immediately showed up in the Apks folder of the File Management app. There's also FM radio, which I haven't tested yet, and the music works great. I love it!Cons: It was a little finicky at first, with the Micro SD card not showing up, but after inserting the needle thing to reboot the device, it showed up fine for me after that.Note: Regarding the pre-installed HiByMusic app, it *does* have a shuffle feature, but it's not intuitive at all. Near the top, where it says "Sequential play," you need to click that TEXT (not the orange circle). Clicking it twice will get you to "Shuffle all."
