great value
This is fantastic value for a 100 billion CFU probiotic. I think the title is misleading calling them 'unique strains' as they are not unique but there are some great ones in there like Bifido infantis. The ingredients list shows the species name with a capitalised first letter which is incorrect. Marketing people got carried away. I would rather it did not contain Streptococcus species and would prefer it without inulin and FOS but otherwise excellent!

Really helps to rebuild your biome
It’s only comparatively recently that scientists have discovered how important our guts are in maintaining our defences against infection and, more recently still, that what was previously believed to be simply involved in digestion, also plays i important role in managing mood and other aspects of mental well-being. Yet many people seem still to be unaware of the health or otherwise, their gut — their biome, where all the ‘good’, and ‘bad’, bacteria live and do all that important work live. But, as I understand it, if you’ve ever had a course of antibiotics — and that’s almost all of us — the chances are your biome was given a bad knock because as well as killing off those ‘bad’ bacteria that were making you ill lots of you ‘good’ bacteria I’ll have been killed off too. And it can take so time for the colonies of ‘good’ bacteria to grow, while in the meantime all kinds of ‘bad’ ones may be outbreeding them and knocking your biome thoroughly out of kilter in a way that can persist for a very long time, especially if your diet is lacking in enough fibre — the stuff that feds your gut colonies — and most people don’t eat nearly enough ‘gut food’.Many people however have become aware of the need to give their gut a reset but they turn to those (expensive) little pots to drink or eat live yoghurt. But I remember reading research which showed just how many of those little pots you’d need to drink, or how much live yoghurt, before it would make a difference and before they could your bank balance would have dwindled in ration as your waistline increased. Of course it a good idea to eat things like live yoghurt, kimchi and other foods full of those ‘good’ bacteria but that can only ever be a maintenance solution — once you’ve got your biome in good condition. That’s where capsules like this can make a huge difference.A while back it became clear to me that my biome was not functioning well. (I’ll spare you the details.) So I started taking capsules very similar to these, but without such a broad range of those ‘good’ bugs, and not quite so many of them. And that’s important. Very recent research I’ve seen suggests it’s not just what varieties of ‘good’ bugs you have, but the total number. And at research seemed to link the total number of these little critters on one’s gut may be related to weight management too.So because I’m aware my diet is not as good as it should be (I have health issues that affect this) I’ve now switched to taking these which, as well as containing a very wide range of different varieties of the goodfellas also contain prebiotics, the kind of fibre I know my diet can lack, which feed the wee fellas while, I hope, their numbers gradually build. What’s more they contain a very high number of them which is important as not all of them — from any source — will make it through as far as the gut.I started taking this kind of capsule to solve a problem: and they did. But because I know my diet can be deficient, and at a my advanced age my digestive system may not be working as well as it could, I’ve now decide to add these capsules on a regular basis. And I’ve chosen these not just because of the exceptionally high number of ‘good’ bugs and the very wide range of varieties but because of the prebiotic component. You a buy cheaper ones, but you’ll be settling for fewer strains in smaller numbers and no ‘bug food’. For me it makes more sense to opt to give my poor old biome the best possible chance. As always, I suggest you do your own research before deciding what’s best for you. But I’m so happy with these I’ve now persuaded my (adult) son, who struggles with digestive issues as well as gluten intolerance, to give them a try. It’s early days, but I fully expect him to see a noticeable improvement, too.

Not acid-resistant capsules
Claims to use acid-resistant capsules to survive the gut but they're just regular HPMC caps. These wouldn't even survive a minute in your mouth (I know, I tried... yuck!)
