Very good price for the size of screen
I knew the spec when I bought this for my wife, and it covers all of her needs. However, when I tried to install a couple of apps (Quicken for one), the low memory prevented this. Even with an upgrade to a larger SSD and some more memory, it's still a very good deal from a reputable manufacturer.

It’s reliable and has a BIG screen
At last, I’ve got a decent, modern and reliable laptop to run my laser and other craft software and tools, and the 17” screen makes designing stuff so much easier.

Rubbish
Bought this to replace my 11 year old HP laptop, which was still working fine, but was operating on Windows 8.1. The moment I took it out of the box I was amazed at the cheap feel it had, the keyboard buttons felt like one of those cheap knock off Rubik's cubes, they were all loose and rattling. But I put this down to it only being an entry level laptop and not from the higher end of their range. Although my previous laptop was only 1 up from the entry level one. However it did not work! the start up menu would not proceed beyond connecting to my router, none of the buttons would work and it just froze and was un responsive. So I returned it for a refund, which was a quick and stress free process. I'm surprised HP put their name on such an inferior product, so I shall stick with my old reliable (inexpensive) HP laptop for now.

What was wrong with Windows 10?
Major problems with Windows 11. Crashed 5 times (blue screen) system purchase 4 week ago. Laptop is fine and exactly what I would expect from HP - one of the best. Last OS I used was Windows 10 - never any problems and stable. I consider 11 to be unstable particularly in touch pad and mouse operation. Wish I could get rid of Windows 11.
