Exactly what I was looking for!
My cat was recently diagnosed with kidney disease and she was put on kidney food, which meant I could no longer feed my cats from the same automatic feeder and I had to run interference every feeding time to keep them from eating each other’s food. These feeders were exactly what I needed! Set up was a breeze, including the app. I can schedule the feedings automatically from the app which is so convenient, the ID feature with the opening and closing lid works perfectly to make sure they only eat their food, and I can monitor how often they are eating with the app! I could not be happier with these feeders. I have noticed a change in their eating habits but I’m assuming it’s normal due to less pressure over sharing food- before they both rushed to eat their food right at feeding times and had nothing left, now they seem less eager at feeding times and graze throughout the day. It does seem like they might be eating slightly less overall because of this (the bowl is rarely empty) but I know they are eating.

Great feeders but dispensed amount is off
These feeders are working well and giving my cats what they need with some irritations surrounding the dispensed amounts.Pros:- Arrived quickly- Easy to put together- Easy to setup- Works well- Love the phone app!Cons:- The smallest dispensed amount shows as 1/12 cup which would be perfect if it was truly 1/12 of a cup. I originally set it up for 6 feedings per day which would have been a half cup of food per day for each cat. Perfect. Except the "1/12" cup is really closer to 1/4 to 1/3 cup by volume so I was way overfeeding my cats! Luckily I realized it pretty early on so I changed the feeding schedule to twice per day. One cat always has food in her dish but the one I have to watch for obesity is always looking for more food. I would prefer to give him smaller meals 4-6 times per day but the feeder will not dispense a smaller amount. This is the reason for the 4 star review. This is really disappointing. I think he'd be happier "grazing" several times per day if I could do this with this feeder.- The feeders are expensive- The collars that come with the device are terrible. I replaced them with breakaway collars I purchased. I just put the sensor on the new collars- the feed doors are slow to close so if you have a sneaky cat or dog hanging around nearby, they may be able to snatch a few bites before the door closes.- this feeder requires a collar sensor. I find myself wishing I could have found one that works by sensing the cat's microchip. All in all these feeders are doing what I needed which was to feed different food to each cat without my dog stealing it. In this they are working. I just wish they would dispense smaller amounts so I could feed more times per day.I attached a picture of a 1/3 measuring cup. It is hard to see but that cup is nearly full. It is dispensing way more than 1/12 of a cup.

Price is worth it for peace of mind
I ordered two of these feeders, one for each of my cats, and I LOVE them. One of my cats is a bit of a glutton, she eats all cat food in sight. I was feeding my other cat on top of the fridge because the glutton cat didn’t really get on the counters much, but started to recently. These have been perfect. I feel like the non glutton cat is eating better because the other one isn’t swooping in to steal all the food, and I think it’s helping the glutton cat lose a little weight! I’m a hardcore technology lover so having access to an app has been so nice. The feeders were quick and easy to set up, and the app is very user friendly with its navigation and usage. I appreciate being able to see how much and when my cats are eating, and the low food warning has been a godsend. The other auto feeders I had wouldn’t give any kind of warning when the food was low but these do every time! It’s comforting to know that even if I’m away I can still make sure my cats are being fed and actually eating. The only issue I’ve had is that one cat (the non-glutton) doesn’t like wearing a collar, so he’s been prying this one off recently. I’m going to try a different collar but overall SO happy with this purchase!! And so worth it!!!

Buyer beware!
Where to begin. I purchased 4 feeders. I have 2 cats with special dietary needs and 1 who overeats. Was so hopeful that these would solve the feeding issues. And they worked great until they didn’t.1. food bowl design-The food bowl itself is not shaped well to ensure the food ends up all the way in the front where the cat sits, and the lid doesn’t retract far enough for the cat to get at the food in the back and corners. As a result of the shape/design of the bowl and feeder, food easily backs up into the chute. FREQUENT “outlet blocked” alerts and “rotor stuck.” As a result of this one of my cats went 3 days without food while we were out of town. I am unable to establish a good feeding schedule without running the risk of it backing up and preventing the lid from opening and closing properly.2. The lid frequently gets stuck and won’t close or open.3. The buttons on the front of the device don’t work half of the time. Sometimes the unlock button doesn’t work, which by default means none of the other buttons will, but sometimes even after unlocking it the dispense food or open lid buttons won’t work, either. Sometimes they will randomly just announce “buttons locked”4. The feeder also does not work on battery power. It only works while it is plugged into electricity, even with the correct batteries being in place.5. Frequently loses connection with RFID tagThey KNOW there is a design flaw and suggestion is to put a book under the back.
