I wanted to dye my hair but didn’t want to deal with chemicals and the time it takes to do it. When I saw this product, I thought, for the price and since it is not too harsh (chemicals), AND it seems to be easy (not as time consuming), why not? I did read the reviews before buying and it seemed to have had good consistent reviews.It goes on when your hair is dry. Just make sure your hair is clean (washed, not product residue, etc). You pour some on your hand (wear rubber gloves which are also included but I used my own) and rub your hands together so they are evenly on both hands then put it in your hair as if you are shampooing your hair. It said to leave it on for 10 minutes but I saw one review that said to leave on longer, so I did for 30 min. Rinse off and voila, your hair is dyed! Easy peasy!It has a little bit of a smell but not too bad for me. Seems to last quite a bit since it’s been a month since I dyed it, my hair is still dark.I really liked how easy it is and the end results are good. Very simple and effective to use.How to use it, wear a glove, pump the hair color mix shampoo into your hand and apply it to your hair. The site says about 10 to 15 minutes but it takes longer than that for the floor to work it usually takes about 25 min for me.I have two complaints about this product nothing major but hopefully they address it:1- The mixture ratio is not the same… you run out of the black color and you still have half of the other mixture left.2- The container leaks. I tried shaking it and the color came out and went everywhere making a mess.Beside that the color does not smell and it works great

Better than I expected

Since I started using this product I began to see bald patches on my head, I thought the bald patches where due to stress and kept on using it. Today the dermatologist just confirmed that this product is causing some type of allergic reaction. The ingredients aren’t clear and the product isn’t regulated. Be careful when using this or just don’t use it at all.

I am a natural dirty blonde color but I have lightened my hair to a bleach blonde for years. I decided I wanted to go black but was worried about how fast my roots would grow in. With my roots being lighter, I thought I might end up looking bald. I did a bunch of research before I went black and stumbled upon this. I have had black hair now for 7 weeks. It is getting the job done as far as touching up my roots and refreshening my color. Below are the steps of how I went from Blonde to Black and how I maintain it.1. First I dyed it red with a cheap boxed dye. This gives it the undertone so when you go black it does not fade to a washed out or greenish color.2. The next day I dyed it "Natural Blue Black" with cheap boxed dye.3. Two weeks after I used this Black Hair Dye Shampoo to touch up my roots. Left on for 15 minutes.4. I use the hair dye shampoo every 2 weeks for 15 mins before showering. I have used it 3 times and still have a lot left. My hair is a little past my shouldersI do want to mention this is a dye, so yes it will stain and it will run dark in the shower. I am pretty messy with hair dye and I have had no problems with this. I use gloves and wipe my hairline and ears with a wet rag after applying. I have never had it stain my skin doing this. It is a lot less harsh in smell than permanent dye. As far as the shower, just rinse the walls down before getting out and you should be good.
