A Notebook and PC Must! and Save Yourself From Occupying a PC Port!
The media could not be loaded. I purchase this adapter to use with my 9-year old Western Digital® "Passport™" external hard drive (HDD), which runs a well as the day I received it! (see photos).For notebook owners, this is a MUST if you connect a USB-C port cable, to a "Micro-B" device! No need to carry two cables!If you are limited by the number of your desktop PC's "C" PORTS" that are available, but need a "Micro-B" port to connect to your external device, then this adapter is for you! Why buy a slower-rated cable and take up another precious "C" port on your PC? Simply slip this adapter onto your current, "FAST" USB-C cable!

Great converter!
I purchased these when I received my new Mac Book Pro. The new MacBook's have only USB-C interconnectable. I have lots of portable hard drives, that use the Micro B interface and wanted a way to use them with my Mac's, without buying new cables. These allow me to use my USB-c to USB-C cables and they work perfectly. I keep them with my hard drives and one in my travel case so that I have them when needed.

Works with Quest 3!
Allowed me to adapt external USB 3 hdd to Quest 3. That’s all I needed it to do. Quest is really quirky when it comes to drives so this probably works with anything.

The product does not work as advertised. Avoid. Only works with power. NO DATA.
Product will carry power fine. Will NOT pass data. Tried over a dozen different known working USB-C cables to test both adapters sent. One not working is coincidence, but two? Product is mis-represented. Failed data tests across the board. Avoid this product, brand, and seller.

Works
Great for adapting the old USB B (portable hard drive) to the current standard. Works well.

Transfer speed depends on how USB C is plugged
Despite there is not supposed to be a up or down way to plug the same USB C plug, I was able to reach transfer speed around 100Mb/s only when the USB C cable was plug in a certain way. If I turn the USB C plug 180 deg then the transfer rate slows to less than 20Mb/s.

Port pins are flimsy
Be careful, the port pins are flimsy and easily damage either the female input cord or are damaged on the male output side
