Helped during hurricane
Deployed this hurricane season and since the water wasn’t any higher they did the job. Much easier than sandbags, and I can reuse next season (but hope I don’t have to).

Wrong amount sent
I ordered 5 boxes of these according to the ad each box is supposed to have 3 barriers each to date I have only received 5 barriers. If the ad is wrong that’s not my fault the ad says contains 3 each barriers I paid almost 200 dollars and have only 5 barriers and I ordered 5 boxes each box was supposed to have 3 barriers in it so that should have been 15 barriers today I received another box with only 2 barriers in itHere is what the ad says each box includes You see 3 pieces I ordered 5 packages or boxes that should have given me 15 pieces or barriers. To this date I have gotten two boxes and only 5 barriers.PACKAGE INLCUED:The set included 3 pcs 72'' x 14'' x 7'' flood barrier, which providing powerful and efficient protection for your home. Extra 2 connecting bands help to connect water barrier effectively blocking, separating, and controlling floodwaters to protect homes.

Consider where you will use them
These are not meant for areas with cold winter weather (freezing temperatures). You can, as some have recommended, fill them 1/2 way to give the frozen water space to expand. However, if you have a rise where you need them, the water will run to one end, so that solution doesn’t work in all situations. I personally had to carry them into the garage on below freezing nights, so they won’t get damaged. I’m sure they’re perfect for warmer climes.

Should work well
I live in Central California and it doesn't rain a lot, but in El Nino years we get a lot of rain in a short time. I've lived in my house for 14 years. The first winter after I moved in my patio was flooded due to the yard slanting towards the house. When I installed sprinklers I also added a drain. Over time the dirt where the water comes off the roof has eroded and my drain is higher than the dirt. That means the water has to get about an inch deep before it starts draining. Then it gets grass and debris in it and it drains slower. Until I can figure out how to fix this problem, I decided to look for some kind of temporary fix. When I saw these water barrier bags available as a promotional I ordered them. Out of the bag, they are standard PVC similar to what is used for air mattresses and above ground pools. They come with 2 small vinyl patches. There are 2 pieces that are connectors if you need to lay them end to end with no break in the barrier. The connectors wrap around the ends with large hook and loop closures. They do not attach to the barriers, they just wrap around the ends and hold them in place. They have standard valves to be able to fill with water, which I think will be better than trying to keep sandbags. You would need to make sure there is nothing sharp where you're going to lay them and make sure and keep anything that could damage the vinyl away. I will store them in my shed and update my review after I've had a chance to use them.

These will float
We used these o. st Pete Beach, Florida for Helene and they all rolled away so we’re no good. I recommend strapping them down. Otherwise a waste of good money.

Hose connector is not a garden hose coon.
Has a 1-3/8" connector. Will not connect to my garden hose. Don't seem very sturdy let's give it a try and see how it goes.

No more muddy pool for me!
I've had a miserable time with our spring storms and yard water entering my pool. My block wall looks like a waterfall, and the pool deck isn't sloped enough to keep the water from rolling into the pool. It took ten days to clear the water last time. No more! These barrier bags are great! The cap covers a large filling hole that the end of the hose fits into- not threads on, but fits in, and I could let it go. Once they are filled, they're pretty heavy, so make sure you fill them close to where you want them. The rubber is thick and I didn't feel nervous about dragging them a few feet on the concrete. Even though they are thick, they are still soft enough to morph into every bump and crevice to make an effective dam. I'll use these until I regrade the lawn by the pool to reroute the flood water. I'll be happy to have these bags on hand for other applications. I may even fill them with air for pool floats!
