This Saved My Macbook Pro (Early 2011)
My Macbook Pro (13 inch, early 2011) works so much more smoothly now! Things don't load instantaneously or anything, but they are much faster and when they do open my laptop can handle multiple at a time! I see the spinning loading cursor much less often and my computer functions much more efficiently. To give you an idea of the difference this makes, a few days before buying this, I had three windows open: Chrome, Word, and Spotify; my computer was working at a snail's pace and I could barely get anything done. I wasted almost an hour trying to open Word, look up instructions, open a file, and switch footnotes to endnotes. When I first installed the new 16GB, I opened app after app until every single app on my dock was open and running (about 24 apps in all, including Word, Powerpoint, Spotify, Steam, iTunes, and the App Store, among others). Once they were all open, my computer was working so well that the fan wasn't even activated. I was using about 10 GB of memory or so, and using the apps was a breeze. It was so easy to install too! I recommend looking up instructions online and maybe buying a tiny screwdriver if you don't already have one, but I had no issues and had replaced my old memory in less than 5 minutes.I can't recommend this enough. However, if you only plan to be using your computer for things like email, social media, and so forth, I think the 8GB (2x 4GB) option would suffice. The reason I went for 16 is that I often do photo editing and digital art and wanted to be sure that these programs would function smoothly. If anything changes with functionality, I'll update my review. But for now, I couldn't be happier. My laptop can multitask again!!

Very good!
Works perfect so far on my MacBook Pro (early 2011). It originally came with 4 GB of memory and with the latest macOS upgrade, it turned my computer so slow, I couldn't do anything with it. Every click of the mouse was a real pain. All my computer resources was completely being tapped out. Upgraded my MBP with new 16 GB memory along with a new SSD. No issues with the installation. Just watch a couple videos online because its very easy to do it yourself. You just need to make sure you have some decent set of mini screw drivers to take off the back panel. What a difference it made with the combination of more memory and new SSD. It now feels like a brand new computer now. Brought new life back to my Mac and it feels like I can squeeze another 2-3 years out of this before I need to buy a new computer.

Excellent RAM For Apple Computers
I have a Early 2011 15'' Macbook Pro that has a 2.0 GHz Quad-Core i7 Processor, 500 GB Hard Drive, and 4 GB of RAM. I started to notice that after opening a few programs like Safari, Mail, iTunes, and Xcode, my computer ran out of RAM and starting using the swap memory. As soon as I opened up my Windows 7 virtual machine through VirtualBox, everything became almost un-usable. This caused the Beach Ball to occur a lot and my mac to become very, very slow.I did some research and found that my Page Outs were a lot more than 0. (Ideally the Page Outs should be 0). I was planning to order 8 GB of RAM but saw that this was just a little bit more and decided to buy 16 GB instead.I have been using this RAM in my mac for over 1 year and have never experienced any problems. Now I can run all my mac programs while I have my Windows 7 virtual machine running.I am planning to upgrade to an SSD later this month. Hopefully I can get one on Black Friday, Cyber Monday for a good price.

Excellent RAM (Late-2011 MBP)
I've had no problems with this memory. My system recognizes it all, it's not hanging any processes nor crashing the system, memory tests passed just fine, and just to push it, I loaded, modified, and rendered twelve minutes of high-definition (2K) video in Premiere Pro CS6 multiple times, including a 29.976fps to 23.976 conversion, straight 30p to 30p, frame-blending, 30p - 60i, etc. and it's been a trooper (granted, that also tested the CPUs, but still). Two notes:1) The DIMMs are double-sided (i.e., there are memory modules on both sides), meaning they're thick, so it's possible to mis-align them when installing. This could be what some people here have been experiencing.2) The packaging is a flat cardboard piece, not a box. Depending on the shipping medium (e.g, a flimsy envelope), it could cause the modules to be damaged in transit (an imperceptible crack in one of the leads, for example). In my case, Amazon shipped it snug in a much bigger box -- you'd have needed to do serious damage to get to the DIMMs.

Mac Makeover!
Awesome! I was pretty wary about installing this RAM myself, after an almost disaster installing it on my last Mac (there was smoke involved...) Installing this on my 15" Macbook Pro (Early 2011) was MUCH easier and worked like a charm the first time. I looked at a few different tutorials for tips first. The whole process only took about 10 minutes. The speed bump was definitely noticeable, but I opted to replace my hard disk (HDD) with a solid state drive (SSD) also. My computer has gone from being almost useless (5+ minutes to get logged in...everything took forever to load...couldn't even use iPhoto anymore) to like new! Things load quickly and I can actually multi-task! Cosmetically my computer looks like new and my battery life is still decent so this was a welcome upgrade for a relatively small amount of money ($300 is cheaper than a new computer). Now I can hold off on upgrading until the models are upgraded a bit more.
