Worked better than expected!!!
I wanted to give this a thorough nights use before I left my review. Let me just say, WOW!🤩 It was EXACTLY what I was looking for to fix my dark room tracking issue with my Meta Quest 3!!!I used to have to deal with not being able to use my Meta Quest 3 at night time unless I either had lights on in the room, or I was inevitably forced to function without pass through and in some environment of sorts. Since I bought this IR device, I’ve said goodbye to those nights!!!So. Let me give you some insight on how great this thing is… I went to a COMPLETELY dark room in my house after the sun went down and I turned on the Quest 3. Immediately I was hit with a tracking lost notification! So I put this device to the test and BAM!!! As soon as I cut it on, all tracking notifications GONE! Granted that it was nothing but black back scene and the windows that I have open! And to me, the best part about it is if I wanted to use the light in the room for a second to find something while using pass through, I could! The cameras on the quest automatically adjusts to the new light and even again when you shut the lights back off!!! As long as you have this thing on, you’d never have to worry about losing tracking again on your headset!!!Now for a couple of opinions. This is a nice piece of work here 😉 It works better than described for its intended purpose. But I wish that I had noticed that this unit takes an 18650 type battery before today. I would have bought one at the same time for portability! Nevertheless. This unit also comes with a Type-C USB port for input power. And the power draw is minimal! On my USB meter, it topped out at 5V 3.5watts on its highest #4 setting. Not very much power consumption at all. Not to mention I only used it on its lowest #1 setting all night, in a fairly large room, more so pointing at the ceiling above my head than at me, and I STILL had no issues!!! (It had about a 140 degree tiltable head. Front to back.) I imagine that this device could transform someone’s visual quality and clarity on night vision security cameras!!! This is WELL worth what I spent! To be honest, they are probably going to go up in price once they see we’ve caught on! So if you need one, get one NOW!!! I’m buying another one when I order those 2 18650 batteries to run them portable!!!(Edit) So I just had a genius idea!!! The nominal voltage of an 18650 battery is about 3.7 volts 10Wh. My stepson had so many empty vape carts in a drawer in his room… And the nominal voltage for them are the same!!! Just the watt hours are about half. I took 2 of those batteries and charged them both separately to the same voltage and then tied them together in parallel to keep the same 3.7 volts and multiply to just about the same watt hours an 18650 has. It fit PERFECTLY in the 18650 battery tray!!! I’ve been using these batteries for multiple hours at a time at night for DAYS and it seemed like it wouldn’t die, so I didn’t turn it off last night when I went to bed and it was STILL ON when I woke up for work and didn’t die until about 20 minutes after I got home from work on an 8 hour shift!!! And on top of that it only took about an hour and a half for those batteries to charge back up while still inside of the device!!! The Type-C port seems to use a built-in PD system to charge. The charge current never went past 5 volts 14 watts… But the charge current also did drop as the batteries approached being full and went to ABSOLUTE ZERO across all fields when the batteries were done charging! Thanks for putting overcharge protection in here guys!!!

Great Tesla FSD Illuminator - May require some work
Exactly what I needed and just the right brightness. I use this to illuminate my tesla interior cabin at night so I can use FSD since it needs to see your face.1 Star off because I was able to fix it myself, but the battery terminal on the possitive side does not allow for your average 18650 to reach the conductor. I thought this may have been damage, but oddly close inspection seems to indicate that this may be a design flaw??? not sure how it would go unknoticed and if I was not an electrical engineer would probably not be confident enough to do what I did which was to solder enough to extend the conductor out enough to reach the battery.Pics included. Also side note, not taking anything off for this one because it only came undone when i opened up the inside, but the positive cable was not soldered on very well and came off. There was basically no solder on it and would probably have come loose at some point down the line. I soldered that back down and now this should be good to go for many years :)Still love the product, but possible quality control issues.

Small but works great
Got tired of always being told to turn on light when in VR even when I belive room was bright enough. Problem solved with this. Can sit in complete darkness with these and VR thinks I am out in daylight l.Just see the small red light to know it is working and a warning this little gets hot to the touch.

Buyer beware Just Junk.
I don't generally write reviews but something has to be said. This product does not work. It didn't even come with a battery a complete waste of time and money, I would return it but it's not worth the effort - Buyer beware Just Junk. It didn't even power On connect to a power source this makes me so furious these type of companies want your money but deliver sub-par products

Works, get the correct battery tho.
You need UNREGULATED button top 18650s (67mm long), NOT flat top unregulated (65mm long), and NOT regulated (69mm long). Button top and the regulator each add 2mm length to the 18650 cell. They work, seems draw between .35A and .80A of 5v without the battery, saw a max of 1.5A while charging a 2000mAh cell.Small enough to fit into my headset carry case.

Product works way better than I thought it would!
I use this for sim racing in my bedroom, It's attached using the magnetic feature on the bottom and pointed directly at the ceiling using the highest setting. When using a Quest 2 in pitch black I can see perfectly, and tracking is perfect with the quest 3 as well but you can't see in passthrough since this is IR and not visible lights. The light gets a bit warm and I'm not sure how long it will last but feels built well enough and works way better than I thought it would, especially for my niche use case (racing in the dark of my bedroom.)

Exactly what I needed for the Quest 3
I have a Quest 3 and wanted to be able to watch movies or play Xbox streaming in bed while my wife and kid are sleeping.Apparently, the Quest 3s has built in IR lights, but the Quest 3 does not. So, this device is perfect. I can run it off a battery pack and magnetically attach to an existing small phone tripod I have using MagSafe. It’s simple and effective and portable.I’m glad it doesn’t attach to my quest because I’d want to use it for hdmi input sometimes.

Works, but some steps required.
Battery needed: 67mm unregulated button top 18650If you buy a flat 66mm or a button top 68mm, it won't fit and won't work. You need the above-mentioned battery.Getting it to startFirst, I needed to charge the battery. After installing, it still didn't work, so I plugged in a USB-C power source and it powered on. After disconnecting the USB-C cable, it continued to run. I could then power it off and on at will. For some reason, at least on mine, it required that first "jolt" from the USB-C to get it going.Otherwise, it works as advertised and I can use it to play my Quest 3 in the dark or low light. I took off a star for the odd starting requirement.
