I have purchased innumerable of these double glass cups varying in styles and makers for the past years. This glass is the best per my criteria.The biggest factor, they have not broken. The others will eventually break. Recently, I just accidently tapped another glass with the other brand mug, and it cracked. Another time, one of the double sides, at the bottom broke from another brand. This mug feels very strong and sturdy, and manifests these properties.In addition, the sizes of other mugs are generally smaller than I desired, or display slightly odd shapes. This is a nice, large mug, that sits cozy in my hand, and I can enjoy a decent cup (or more) of hot coffee or hot tea.

If coffee is the nectar of the gods, why shouldn't it be served in a gorgeous hand-blown work of art befitting a deity? Caution: when drinking from this mug publicly, you might experience long, chilly stares from onlookers. Don't be alarmed. You are seeing their covetousness. They can't help it. Raise your mug and take a sip. Let them feel their lack for a few moments as they gaze upon your levitating god-nectar. Cautiously invite them to touch the insulated coolness of the outside--but hold tight in case they are overcome by the understandable urge to grab it from you. Then be kind and tell them where they can get their own.These are big (a full 20 oz) and have apparently upgraded to be sturdier. Mine feels more solid than I expected. I'll admit to a little vanity on this. I bought this mug for its great looks and for the wonderful things I'd put in it. Sort of like I married my wife for her great looks and the wonderful things she already had inside. (Awww) I knew this mug required extra care and I was fine with that. It doesn't go in my dishwasher or microwave. I use it for my 2x daily “bullet coffee” made with an emulsion blender, so the violence happens in a separate steel frothing pitcher (Asin: B07QB3896B). When I pour my yumminess, no more stirring is needed. To be safe I'd use wooden stir sticks if necessary. Coffee stays warm much longer and the outside of the mug stays cool to touch even with my scalding wake-up juice in it. The seller included an insert with a personal email address for any concerns, further selling me on their company--after the sale!Highly recommended. You're welcome!Note: I offered the 2nd mug to my wife but apparently, she likes to burn her hands on her old fashioned, opaque mug that completely obscures her coffee (Can she even be sure what she's drinking?) so for now, I keep my 2nd mug safely stored in its foam packaging in case the unthinkable happens.

I have been ordering these for years. Unfortunately over time I have had them break on me. And a lot of times it was my fault for not being gentle enough. But I keep reordering them because they are still the best. This mug holds way more liquid than it looks like it would. I just received 2 more sets, and I was pleasantly surprised to find that they are now making them sturdier than before. In the photo, the mug on the left is the new one and the mug on the right was an older one I have. The one on the left has a thicker handle and I believe the cup is also thicker. I love this change, it feels a lot better to hold in my hands. They’re a little pricey for mug but honestly totally worth it in my opinion. Please never discontinue these!

Double wall mugs are my preferred glasses for most drinks, and over the years I've tried many(!) double walled glasses and mugs. These are hands down the very best. Large size, big handle for my big hands, well balanced, beautiful and functional in every way. I buy them in sets of 4 at a time. They make fantastic gifts for anyone who has a friend who cares to have tea or coffee or hot chocolate stay warm in a classy and beautiful container.

First, I like the glasses...I've ordered them twice. However, there is a tiny hole in the bottom of the glasses that allow water to seep in between the double walls. This anomaly eventually leads to condensation and water pooling inside of the mugs...They start to look cheap. Recommend hand washing these mugs versus using a dishwasher to minimize the seepage of water.UPDATE 10 Feb 2019: It just gets worse. We have now thrown away $75.00 worth of these mugs. My recommendation is to NOT buy them. Eventually, they will crack, handles will break regardless how careful you are, and water will seap in between the two walls. One of our mugs cracked on the interior wall... The bottom of the handle mysteriously broke - cutting my wife's hand, and mold started growing in between the two walls of the mug. Do yourself a favor and stay clear of these mugs. There definately is something better out there.

I like double walled mugs. I like hot drinks hot and cold drinks cold. These cups are heavy and appear to be much sturdier than others that I have purchased (other mugs were very good, but literally smash into a thousand pieces if they break). These cups seem solid. I just purchased them, so I have not given them the "full treatment." Nice design and I like the big handles on them. Excellent packaging; very secure for a fragile product.I do wish that they made them "microwave friendly," but you can't have everything. I am hoping that these last longer than the ones bought through other companies -- they certainly are more solid than the others.Backyard Bum is a "family owned business," and I like that. They appear to be very customer-centric and want the purchaser to be happy with their product. I like that, too. Their accompanying material is helpful. Don't throw it away, worth hanging on to.
