Terrific craftsmanship. Very sturdy and well made. Rustic look with a wrought iron trim goes great with my steam punk office. A nice addition to hold accessories next to my large aquarium—fits right in with a “pirate chest” look. Cant say enough about the beauty and sturdiness with a lock that finishes the look.

Not gonna lie I didn’t have much expectations when ordering but when I received it this chest is AWESOME I cannot believe how well this thing is made very strong, sturdy. It’s very well made the detail is very nice. Well worth the money . The lock and keys pretty heavy all in all its very cool..

Even better than expected! Really beautiful, great size, well-made. I got it just for a treasure hunt, but because it was such great quality, we will definitely find other uses for it. Highly recommend!

I'm very impressed by the craftsmanship that went into this chest; it is built very sturdy so in case if you're gonna store any heavy objects in it such as currency or any other personal treasures. Now I have a chest so when I cosplay as a pirate. Aargh ☠️ 🦜

I bought this for the pirate treasure chest aesthetic. It is well made overall and the antique looking lock is a nice touch. However, there are two chains attached to the interior of the chest to keep the lid from falling completely open that are secured by some rather small, inadequate screws. Of the two chests I received, 4 of the 8 screws had already fallen out during shipping. So I made a small modification and replaced those screws with thru-bolts (pictured). Now those chains will break before the bolts ever come loose. And that bit of needed repair work is why this chest is almost, but not quite, perfect.

You pay good money and you get a great product. This is a very nice chest with real metal pieces and not just flimsy tin painted black. The hinges are secure, the metal pieces are firmly attached and the box construction is solid. The latch is also solid and aligns perfectly and is straight up and down. The lock is a great piece of medieval lockery (? is that a word) and works smoothly with the keys. There is none of that hokey play / looseness when using the key in the lock.The only ding I could possibly offer is that the lock, when in the latch, hangs too far below the bottom of the chest. But it is a nice lock.Note: dimensions say this is 6 inches tall. The decorative medalions stick up above 6 inches, so allow yourself an extra half inch if you are going to tuck this onto a shelf.

Surprisingly spacious, lightweight, and looks awesome. I would consider it a very high quality prop, bur definitely not a real-deal kind of thing.I'll be using it for the prize at the end of a scavenger hunt and I think it'll serve the purpose perfectly.The lock was a bit confusing, but I think I figured it out. Overall, very happy with this purchase
