It's a great little item. The loudness is pretty good but not over the top. It doesn't crap out when getting too loud, like the speakers don't get static sounds or pop like cheaper ones would. Highly durable and good size for portability. Solid battery capacity but we always want more don't we?I bought this because I have used BOSS music gear for decades. This is definitely worthy of BOSS

This is my second tube. My kids broke the first one while playing catch, least to say they will not play football with this one. This speaker is great. I have never had a problem with it. It holds a charge for over 8 hours of continuous music. The sound is crisp and I really enjoy the portability of it. The Bluetooth connection is simple and smooth. I recommend this tube.

I was looking for a speaker to use around the clock for background music in a less-than-ideal environment and I had a special need: I wanted one that I could use without having to connect an external device like a phone.I do volunteer work for an animal rescue and had seen how playing relaxing music helps dogs that are in a shelter environment. When animals arrive at a shelter, their anxiety level is typically very high. The noise of other dogs around them barking just makes that anxiety worse. We discovered that when our workers had music playing on their cell phones while cleaning, the dogs seemed to calm down and listen to it so we decided to find an economical way to provide music to them all the time. Installing a centralized music system wasn't an option on our budget, so I started looking for an affordable alternative.After much research, I found this speaker and it ticked all of the boxes: Dust and moisture-proof, decent volume and sound quality, and the ability to copy a lot of songs to a micro SD card and automatically play them continuously.To save money for the rescue, I opted for the refurbished version and ordered three of them to go in the three different areas where we wanted music. I then compiled a collection of about 24 hours of relaxing music (classical and ambient electronica) and copied it onto three 32 GB SD cards while I waited for them to arrive.The refurbished speakers were indistinguishable from new ones except for the fact that they weren't in original retail boxes, but plain brown cardboard ones. They were perfectly clean and functional and had all of the original accessories including the manuals and were very well packed in air packs and bubble wrap. They were even well-charged when they arrived. All I had to do was plug an SD card in and turn them on and they automatically started playing the music. Exactly what I needed!Since I wanted music to play around the clock, I opted to plug them in and put them on shelves in the different areas. They have been going for several days now with no problems. It's worth noting that they are not technically waterproof when plugged in because the waterproof port cover must be open when they are charging, so any direct water spray would probably not be good for them while they are charging. However, with the cover closed, they seem to be very waterproof.PROS:- Surprisingly good sound: These are pretty small units and I didn't expect a rich, full sound but was pleasantly surprised with both the volume and the tonal range. They aren't going to rattle the windows, but they do put out clear non-tinny music that can be heard above barking dogs with no problem.- Easy setup: I just wanted to use them with an internal SD card and setting that up was as easy as plugging the card in and powering it on. I haven't tried the bluetooth connectivity (and likely won't), but it seemed to be straightforward.- Good construction: A tube is naturally a sturdy shape, and these speakers are completely coated in a thick rubber layer. They feel and look like they could take a lot of abuse.- Very portable: Their size is pretty small and they can easily be thrown into a backpack or carried around with the built-in handle. They come with a nylon shoulder strap that can be clipped on but that seems to be overkill for something so small and light to me.- According to the manual, you can link two of these speakers together via bluetooth and have each one act as either left or right stereo channels to get twice the volume and great stereo separation. I have not tried this since they are all in different locations, that it seems like a very cool feature that I didn't expect.CONS:- Oddly, comes with a car charging adapter, but not a wall charger. You can use the included charging cable with any USB wall adapter you have lying around to recharge with though.- Has VERY bright blue LED tracing around the speakers and on the sides that unfortunately I haven't found a way to turn off. This is fine (I guess) if you're using them at a pool party, but it's a little much when you just have it sitting on a shelf, especially if you were using it while you slept. I would find the pulsing blue lights very distracting in that scenario.- Quirky controls: There are buttons with "+" and "-" labels that I reasonably assumed were volume adjustments, but pressing them while playing from an SD card would cause it to jump to the next or previous song. After some frustration and carefully looking over the manual (which isn't very well organized), I discovered that long-pressing them will adjust volume while short-pressing them will skip to next and previous tracks. This seems backwards to me because once you hold the button down, the volume ramps up or down and it's hard to hit the exact volume you want. And if you don't press it long enough, it jumps to another track. I think having them switched (short press for volume) would be much better.- No display: If you are just using this as a bluetooth speaker and playing things from a phone, this wouldn't be an issue, but when you play from SD, there is no display to show what track is playing.- No way to use playlists from SD card: Again, not an issue if you are just using bluetooth, but I wanted to make a playlist to play the songs in a certain order, but it seems to ignore playlists and just plays songs in whatever order it wants to.Overall, for the price of these speakers, they are an excellent purchase. Time will tell if they can stand up to continuous use in a fairly harsh environment, but first impressions are very good.For someone just wanting a portable speaker to use with their phone, this seems like an excellent choice to me.For someone looking to set up continuously playing background music without having to connect a phone or other device, this is a very easy and affordable way to achieve that.

Didn't want to cut holes in my new fishing boat for a stereo and speakers so I got this on the recommendation of the boat dealer. It's marine grade so no worries about spray or rain. Connects easily via Bluetooth to my phone and has volume to spare. It can also play music off a Sim card and even has FM radio built in. Not sure why anyone would ever permanently mount a stereo and speakers in their boat again now that you have this handy, portable little thing. Just amazed that it isn't more expensive.

Not very loud. Definitely wish I could return not worth the money.

Looks good. Plays fairly loud, but very little bass. And it won’t always turn off or on the first time I try. Also the language, on/off, changed on its own. Easy Bluetooth connection.

I bought this speaker use in my SXS. The volume goes loud enough that music is clear while driving around. One of great features of the speaker is that it has a radio option if you choose to listen to the radio or if you don’t have cell service to stream Pandora or Sirius. I like this radio so much that I bought another one so that I can leave one in the SXS and have one for other events.
