Simple and it works.Like many other reviewers I found the item is easy to turn on by accident but apart from that it is great. My main reason for buying was to significantly brighten the reading area rather than magnification and it does that very well. It isn't the lightest of items but that is because it has a glass rather than plastic fresnel lens so no complaints. The handle works well and is easy to put into a comfortable position. Recommended.

Amazing bit of kit, magnification is 5x and lights are genius. Easy grip handle, light weight, clean design. The button is a little sensitive but otherwise really impressed. Present for my mum, may be ordering one myself.

I have been very impressed with this magnifying glass. It works well with or without the led lights and is a nice large size and helpful rectangular shape. The magnification and image quality are very good. I like the idea of the usb charger which I haven't used yet. I am hoping that, unlike most other magnifiers reviewed on Amazon, it will be sturdy and longlasting. One small niggle - It is obviously meant for reading purposes e.g. small print on labels. I am righthanded and use it to read unclear writing in old documents. Because of where the handle and the control button for the lights are placed, I find it awkward to hold in my left hand while using my right hand to copy the information as I am looking at it. This must also make it difficult for modelmakers to use when painting small detail. Perhaps the makers could come up with a lefthanded version. Otherwise, I am very happy with my purchase.Update: be careful when handling or putting away that you don't touch the light button by mistake. It is very sensitive and comes on too easily.

Nice size glass, the power button is a very light touch, easy 2 do by accident. 3 light strengths .. I got this 4 my Mum who has AMD, the magnification is good & clear, nice quality item .. Mum still getting used 2 it but that's more down 2 her (hands, osteo arthritis) not the mag glass .. am happy 2 recommend 🙂👍🏻

Whilst the lens magnification is very good, and the illumination very bright, the unit is too heavy to hold up for any prolonged time. (2 times in weight compared to my magnifying glass), the units handle is RH only, and the light switch can be activated inadvertetenly, leading to to total battery discharge. Therefore 3*

Allowed me to read Private Eye easily for the first time in ages! Comes with its own little cloth bag and lens cloth. Touch button to turn on so can get turned on by mistake when in its bag. But then easily turned off (and easily recharged via supplied USB C cable
