My favorite trail runners for steep terrain with loose rocks or scree. The traction is unbeatable. They're tiring on the feet for longer days (15+ mi) so I only wear them for specific trails. They run narrow, which is perfect for my small narrow feet (size 5.5) but wouldn't suit someone with wider feet. Love the quick lacing system too.

These shoes not only feel and look great but they work very well on rugged environments. While people were slipping and falling on the way down the mountain, I was not! I was able to get up and down the mountain faster with these shoes. I am very pleased with this product.

Update (June 30th Hiked once weekly) I enjoy the confidence these shows give me when traveling down steep inclines and includes with loose gravel. They clean up easily after use and feel like gloves for my feet. Not water proof since there's no rubbery or other material to prevent water entry into the shoes.Ok I've only worn these once since buying them. They took me through mud, up gravel and loam and on asphalt. I like how they seem to hug my feet. I gives me a feeling of confidence and comfort. They look good and feel good. Size are true. Fit is excellent. My arches are well supported.

These shoes are so comfortable! They are flattering and they really help with the posterior to BLS that I have which is similar to plantar fasciitis and they allow me to walk without pain. The downside is the tread is so deep that I trip quite often in them.

I just wore these on a hiking trip in Banff. Best hiking shoes I have ever owned.

My new bright and cheery Speed Cross hiking shoes from Salomon just arrived! They are very comfortable right out of the box. I have two different size feet so I was worried about the size. I got a 9.5 instead of the larger 10 after trying some 10s on at REI. I live in fear of blisters! Here are my thoughts:Usage: trail day hikingPros: the extra rubber in the kick toe; the fit, the grippy tread, the easy closing pull tab, they feel great!Cons: the color is a bit bright - not sure about orange and pink together, they look a little like a cross country ski bootBut if you’re going to hike, you might as well have fun shoes and socks! They’ll get dirty anyway!

I love this brand. What a disappointment to see that after only a few months of use (delivered March 28th), the inside already has holes (both shoes!) Which causes blisters. I am beyond frustrated. Unfortunately, I am at a DPO or I would have returned them. Money wasted. Thought I’d never see the day when this brand would disappoint me.
