Bought for a small bathroom. Used for after shower to reduce humidity in room. Claim of 800 sq. Feet coverage. More like 80 sq. Foot . Needsvto run a long time to even begin to make a diifference.

(Note: I'll update rating after a period of time if any of the plastic parts break over a short period of time.)Purchased this appliance to remove inside window condensation from my windows. I plan to eventually install a built-in house dehumidifier, but needed something ASAP.Results - For the size, it doesn't get any better than this appliance. I NEVER got 40-45% humidity results, likely because I'm starting with a high humidity and the machine can only operate so quickly. Removed 225 ml in a 24-hr period and has made a significant impact on indoor window condensation, though hasn't eliminated on coldest mornings - I don't expect it to be as good as a built-in house dehumidifier - that's just unrealistic. So far I've been running the appliance 24/7 for one week this winter. For my environment, I *might* see better results with two appliances.Environment - My house is 1200 sqft with OPEN floorplan. My appliance is in a central location of my house and on the kitchen bar (works on countertop too, but I thought the air inlet is max accessible from bar).**WINTER**: My OUTDOOR humidity is High as 82% and Low as 51%. Without appliance INDOOR humidity average is 65%. With appliance INDOOR humidity is HIGH 57% and LOW 51%. INDOOR temp is set to 62 degrees. OUTDOOR has large swings in temp 15 degrees - 50 degrees.**SUMMER**: 20-25% humidity, so I won't be using in summer. I use a swamp cooler to add moisture. If I can get humidity to 45% in summer using swamp cooler, then 51% in winter is not huge swing for my future hardwood floors.Energy - I've not tested appliance using a kilowatt meter, but I plan to. I need to run this thing 24/7 to get to take the edge off condensation, so energy is important to me and especially if I buy an additional appliance.Storage - Cord is not too short, but not too long. As such, it can sit on my kitchen counter top and reach the outlet and hose can reach the sink.Sound - Very quite, which is very important to me. Makes noise, for sure, but it's a low fan sound, not a mechanical hum. However, I'm a very light sleeper and prefer silence, so can't have it in my bedroom. It's a nice noise for a baby's room - much like a baby noise machine that help babies sleep. Might help if you have a partner that snores or a dog that's easily disturbed by noises. :)Brightness - LED operating lights are brighter than I'd like. If there's a way to dim (or turn off), I'm not aware of how to do that. As such, it's like a night light. I'm sensitive to light, so I don't keep appliance in my bedroom.Operation - Air inlets are VERY LARGE, so easy to pull air. Easy to turn on/off. Appliance doesn't appear to heat up in any way.Water removal - Water tank water gasket (rubber seal/cap) is removable so as to enable MOST of the water hose to drain water directly from tank, which is a feature that sold me on this appliance because I have wood floors, and I don't want a tank with water, enabling to let it run while on vacation. Hose is plenty long, but the hose doesn't have a straight path from the tank - it can't expand 100% (constricted by 50%); but this isn't an issue because the water drains faster than the machine removes water. The drain is above 225 ml - it's doesn't sit at the very bottom of the tank - so doesn't fully empty using hose. My guess is that this is by design (a precaution) if the the gasket fails? Again, it takes 24 hrs (in my environment) to get to the gasket and by then a conscientious owner would manually remove the water. I guess I can accept 1 cup of water on my floor while on vacation should the tank have a crack or something. Note: Let the gasket float in tank so as not to lose it - there's no way to store it.Construction - 100% plastic, but I think that's why it's a low price. I've only owned this appliance for a short period. I intentionally remove the tank with care as it's one of those things that can break if not careful. The tank must go in at a specific angle (which I haven't yet gotten the hang of because I use the hose instead) so as not to break anything. Also, DO NOT put appliance in a location where it might get broken by a toddler or pet. Choose a secure location.

Needed to use it and it’s broken… asked if anyone has the manual the smart seller says it comes with the product… yes I know but I have misplaced it so the answer was just stupid. I will now see if the insurance will get a replacement hopefully not this brand

I ended up buying 2 of these- one for my basement and one for my living room. I live in the northeast which gets very humid in the summer and this thing works great and makes it much more comfortable. Because it takes some of the humidity out of the air, it also makes it feel cooler.I especially like it because it’s simple to use. There’s a button to turn it on/off, disable/enable the light, and sleep mode. To empty it, you just pull it out the back and dump the water out.It’s a bit expensive, but standard for similar dehumidifiers. I can’t speak to how this compares to others, but I’ve had no issues with mine thus far.
