I was looking for absorbent pet-safe matting for my chinchillas cage: something easier to clean/replace than loose substrate as they have a large enclosure. I bought this whilst I was investigating my options. It is of no use as an absorbent cage substrate (for which it is not intended): try hemp matting if you are looking for something like this!This product fulfills its purpose as a habitat enrichment toy for degus & chinchillas. It's a bit larger than an A4 sheet of paper, chunky, and well-made. It comes sealed in plastic to preserve the freshness. It can safely be eaten by degus and chinchillas. It lasted only a week or so before it was completely destroyed. My chinchilas seemed to have fun with it (though sometimes they are hard to decipher!).

Was a lot bigger than I thought it was going to be but very happy with what I received!I have a Syrian hamster who likes to chew it now and then so perfect for keeping his little teeth busy.Highly recommended.

Tried these in place of our usual mats from rosewood which are made from hyacinth. Being made from bulrush(?) these are not as soft which is why the don't get 5 stars the hyacinth ones feel soft and spongy, but that said all the gang still seem happy to use them and we like the fact they are larger so better for the rabbits to use.

Lasting a long time as my bunny only pays attention to it on rare occasions.

Great product for rabbits as it is large. Very sturdy and well put together, my rabbits will take ages chewing this up! Even thought it IS large, some people may get the wrong idea when they say extra large if they haven't read the dimensions. The mat is large but I wouldn't say its extra large but still great product, recommend it and will buy again. Amazing price for what you are getting! Thanks Amazon, fantastic service as always

This is the second one I've bought for my rabbits, they love it! The first one took them a while to work out but when they started they demolished it quite quickly. Happy to buy a second as they enjoyed it so much and that's what it's there for!
