Works great for extending usb over cat5
We had a need for wanting to manually being able to control a component on another level of the house by adding in a remote monitor and mouse. I had previously installed cat 5 in the wall (about 25 feet), and within seconds was able to convert it enable the mouse to function. Works great! Highly recommend!

Doesn't work
It doesn't work. I had to bring it to a computer store and test it, then had to buy a new one and I missed my return window

Fast
This product did not work over a 40+ foot run of CAT 5e. It works great over 25 feet of CAT 5. It also has less latency than the 5 meter active USB 2.0 extension it replaced.
