Perfect for my JS30. I was able to change the carburetor out in about 30 mins following a YouTube tutorial. Glad I have extra parts for the future too.

I spent $21 and received this on the next day. Installed it in about 15 minutes* with a 4-way screw driver and a pair of pliers. My little JS36 is running like a champ.Local small engine shop wouldn’t trouble shoot my mower for probably less than $65. Then for them to put a new carb on it would cost me another $150.This is a great little rebuilt(?) carb + air filters, fuel filter, bulb, spark plug, & gaskets.*Actual swap time was probably fewer than 5 minutes. I spent more time cleaning around the old carb, finding my tools, etc.

Carb works with my John Deere JS36. The pre filter is thicker than the original, but seems to still work. We will see if it clogs up prematurely and restricts airflow too quickly. The main air filter seems to be nearly identical in style and makeup. There are a lot of extra gaskets that I didn’t need to use with the carb, my model doesn’t have the primer bulb, and I already had a new spark plug so I haven’t used those components.Mower used to be hard to start, now it starts on the first pull. Could have cleaned my old carb, but for the price, this was much easier. A quick 20 minute fix and I could mow again. Another reviewer mentioned idle speed being faster, but on my model it seems to be the same when comparing the two carbs.I cannot speak to the longevity of the components life, but they definitely worked on the first mow after installation.

Replaced the carburator and the mower started on the first pull. That was good, but that wasn't the problem. The mower started just fine with the old carburator, but wouldn't start when hot. Replaced the thermostatic choke, but that didn't resolve the issue. This carburetor was the last resort. The mower works perfectly now and starts on the first pull whether cold or hot. Wish I had started with this carburetor first. Easy to install.

Keep your stuff going! It's WAY cheaper to replace a carb over the whole mower! Get one of these and watch some YouTube and I can PROMISE you CAN keep it going, and running better than ever!

I purchased this carburetor for my 13-year-old John Deere JS36 walk behind mower, which has been great until it wouldn't start without starter fluid, and when it would stop running through tall grass, could not restart it until it cooled down a little. Still had to use starter fluid again to get it running. I easily installed the new carburetor and with one pull, it fired right up and will restart with one pull after running for awhile. Great product, I would highly recommend it to bring new life to an old mower.
