LG 4K Ultra Multi Region Blu Ray Player - Multi zone A B C Blu-ray Pal Ntsc - Dual Voltage -Bundle with Dynastar HDMI Cable

I Have watched a DVD, Blu-ray, UHD and 3D Blu-ray with this unit. Beautiful pictures and sound. No issues. I viewed them on a Samsung 65" UHD TV. The DVD up-scaling was very clean though I do not know if that is a consequence of the Player or the TV. (Probably both) UHD colors seemed to be saturated (a good thing) and accurate. (No empirical testing was performed to verify the accuracy of my impression.) While pausing playback, the picture remained in 3D. The remote is small but easy to use. The Play/Pause/FF controls are aligned with your index finger when gripped naturally. A raised battery pocket on the flip-side prevents the remote from sliding while in use. There are no back-lights or phosphor to illuminate the keys. It is NOT a smart unit. Though network-able, I do not see a purpose for connecting at this time other than a firmware update.My unit is labeled as an LG not Dynastar.The region switching for other region content is simple to do. Using the remote switch the player off, then press the 1, 2 or 3 for the region of the disc then press the remote's power button. Disc will now play. A handy quick reference sheet is included with the player should you forget.

When I first received this I thought something was wrong with packaging, I wrote 'seller feedback' I thought it would go directly to seller, not go public. Ignorant I was. I don't know how to update that post so I 'removed it'. Since then I have realized the packaging was 'opened before me' simply to help make this unique item what it is. IT WORKS! Beautiful image, great sound. One thing missing on this new 3D Player remote that my old one had is a button to change 2D images to 3D, but THANK GOODNESS. That button did more disservice to the 3D industry; when pushed it never rendered 3D properly. Proper rendering can only be done in the original cameras that film 3D movies or edited in with CGI computer work. This unit however doesn't allow that weakness. This 3D Player works excellently PLUS I can now watch movies I am unable to buy locally. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for your wonderful service making this.

Update on 13.6.22:Three years on, and the machine is still working well. Whenever I had problems playing certain discs due to region restrictions, I followed the included instructions and everything was sorted out.Original Review on 4.3.19:Before I purchased this item, I had read a few negative reviews about the product. Nevertheless, I decided to take a gamble.I have only used this Blu-ray player a few times, beginning from March 2019 (I purchased it in January). So far, the player seems to be able to play Blu-ray discs from different regions without issue. The seller included a set of instructions in the box, so that was helpful. If I experience any issues, I will change my review to include those problems, but I hope everything continues to work smoothly.The product was a little expensive, but I am content with the performance.*Note: Although the Blu-ray player is an official LG product, the multi-region capability is a modification by the seller, so you can't ask LG for help if your machine has issues. Best to talk to the seller.

Bought this to play region B Blu-rays. It has worked flawlessly so far. The only minor issue is that if you play a region B, you have to hit a button on the remote to reset the player. Then when you want to olay a region A blu-ray, you have to hit another button to reset it back. Fairly inconsequential. As far as dvds, I personally havent played any regions other than 1, but accordimg to the instructions, you dont have to do anything to play other region dvds.

This was listed has a 4K player that was “region free”. It plays discs from the U.K. just fine. Problem is it will NOT play Some U.S. disc. I’m not talking CD-roms or burnt DVDs. I’m talking brand new Blu-Rays right out of the case. When I called the companies tech department they said my disc were defective. But they all play on my PS4. When I told the tech that he said while PS4s are different. I said but your sticker on the back & your advertising say different. Then the tech got mad & said look I didn’t say I wouldn’t help you YOU can send it back but if I send you a new one your gonna have the same trouble. Awesome. So I’m out 300 bucks now with a bunch of discs that won’t play. Horrible product. Horrible costumer service. Just trying to save someone else the same hassle. Buyer Beware.

As an owner of many Blu-ray Discs, I’ve been looking for an upscale 4K player for a while. This one has done a fantastic job so far. Noticeably deeper blacks and details vs the 1080p player that had been in use. Does a great job with 4K discs as well. If your tv struggles with upscaling, give this a look. It does all the work and delivers results are that are clearly visible.

This LG 4K Ultra Multi Region Blu Ray Player was modified to play DVDs and Blurays from around the world. This is great for collectors and it does work. I was able to purchase the Shape's series set on Bluray which I believe was only available from Region 2. I also was able to get Dad's Army from Britian and they work great on the machine. The real problem is that there is sometimes a glitch with Blurays and I sometimes have trouble getting the discs to play even when I have pressed the #2 button for Region 2. Sometimes after-awhile it can be corrected, but, other times it just won't play them. It is annoying and a big enough problem to knock off a couple of stars. The picture quality is good. 4K and Bluray especially look really nice. This is a good player for the price. The DVDs from other regions play with no problem and automatically without having to type in the region number.Also, Bluray discs that wouldn't work properly on my older Sony Bluray player work fine on this one. So I am very happy with that.
