Simple,. Easy
Works. The app was crude but easy to understand. The device links quickly to my tablet on power up and remains connected without issues. The 4 buttons work fine. The is a 5th and 6th switch which SHOULD be available but isn't. Switch 5 is buttons 1&2 pressed together. Switch 6 is 3&4. I'd love to have those switches but the software doesn't have a model that allows it. Oh well. 4 switches is good for Next/Prev Song and Next/Prev Page. The quality is good. It seems to be well built. The battery lasts 8 to 10 hours and takes about 2 hours to fully charge. The unit will work while charging and could be powered by wire on a pedal board. I would avoid leaving it on a charger for power all the time since we don't know if it can protect itself from overcharging which would harm the built in battery.

Alternate Apps or Missing Manual?
I bought this from Amazon "Like New", and unfortunately did not have the product manual to help set this thing up. After a lot of trial and error, I found a YouTube video that explained it perfectly. If anyone else finds themselves without a manual, or if you don't want Chinese apps of dubious integrity, search YouTube for "How to Wirelessly Connect Your M Vave Chocolate MIDI Foot Controller to PC | A Step by Step Guide"Basically they have you download LoopMidi, open it, then add a port. Then connect your footswitch to your PC via the Bluetooth settings. Finally, download Midiberry from the Microsoft app store, configure it's input as FootCtrl and its output as LoopMidi. Now you should be able to configure your apps to work with the footswitch.Other than that, I'm loving the switch. The actual switches have a good feel to them. It seems sturdy, so time will tell!

Works great with Prime (LoopCommunity)
I use it with an iPad app called Prime from LoopCommunity.com and it works great. I control Prime from an iPad when playing the drums and sometimes I need to move to the next song when playing in my church and stopping from playing to touch the next song button with my finger was a mood killer, this came to solve the issue, I can just push a button with my feet and we're good. You need to download a separate iPad app for the controller (the link to download the app is in the manual as a QR Code) to adjust a couple of settings in order to use it correctly with the whatever app you want to use it with to map the controller buttons.Great price compared to other similar MIDI controllers

Great for the price, but a couple of things you should know.
I bought this to select patches on my Roland GR-55 guitar synthesizer, after trying several other devices. The small footprint is very appealing, and you can’t beat the price. I haven’t used it with the synth yet but have checked the output using a midi monitor, and it does exactly what I’ve programmed it to do. There are now quite a few videos and articles online to help figure it out, and a knowledgeable friend has one which helped a lot. I’d have been lost otherwise, because the instructions are a little pamphlet that isn’t very helpful. It has a TRS midi connector which is how I’ll probably use it with the GR55. This will require an adapter cable. It supports up to 16 midi channels, and in the most advanced mode can transmit up to 16 messages with one pushbutton. See below for limitations in this mode. One thing you should know before buying: if you want to set up an array of custom midi PC or CC messages, the only mode that gives any flexibility beyond paging thru sequentially numbered messages is one that features only four pushbuttons. (No banking in other words.) You can expand this to eight messages by setting the buttons for short / long press functionality. This limitation was not obvious, and I might have opted for the Hotone similar but more expensive controller had I known that, even though it costs three times as much. There are two other modes that allow accessing many more messages by paging sequentially but they require either a synth that lets you map numbers to patches, or arranging patches on the synth accordingly.Pros: This item is beyond cheap, but solidly made. I was also considering a Hotone controller pedal at over twice the cost. After viewing some videos and doing some reading I was able to program it pretty easily, using the simple free app on my phone. I have not experienced any of the problems some reviewers are reporting, such as loss of configuration after disconnecting. Time will tell if these occur in prolonged use.More advanced midi users than I will be interested to know that in the most advanced mode (the four-button limited mode) the device can be configured to send SysEx messages. Not that I can do that, but others might find it useful, and it’s not that common in this kind of controller.Fully charged pretty quickly, and battery life seemed respectable. Charges with a 5v phone charger.Cons: Significant limitations as mentioned above for the most desirable mode of operation. Sketchy instructions leave it up to the user to figure out. If you are not very motivated to do that you should pass on this. I also was not able to get the device to connect to another pedal with Bluetooth, which seems to be mostly useful for programming with a mobile device. Most likely needs a separate hosting device like a CME widihost to connect to a Bluetooth enabled pedal or synth.Overall I’m not unhappy with this purchase although it will require some work to optimize its use with my other hardware. If I had it to do over again I might have bought the Hotone. But on the other hand these are so cheap you can have a whole array of them if you are controlling several devices.

Great BT Switcher with a caveat
I have two of these and they work great. Made tough, rechargeable and highly configurable. The caveat is not with this device but with whatever device you want to control. My first need was to control a NUX MG-300. The NUX responded to USB (midi) from its Windows App but was impossible from. With a MOOER GE150 I could program change but no expression (pedal) and same with MOOER Prime S1 and finally I upgraded to a HOTONE Ampero Mini MP-50 and using Ampero II Stage midi info was able to get huge amounts of control over the MP-50. BT patch/program changing and expression pedal as master volume either pre or post effects. It's really cool to be able to control stuff on stage via BT including my tube amp with the addition of a VooDoo Labs midi control switcher. Lastly, I also use a CAMOLA USB MIDI Host Box to bridge between 5pin midi transmitter of the BT MIDI Foot Controller and my aforementioned midi stuff. I've never been able to get the supplied USB transmitter to work completely.
