Was glad to be able to buy two and instead I having to buy several. Works as advertised and includes a battery for each unit. Alarm sound is loud only if the screw on cap hole is directly over the speaker. Will have to see how long the battery last to fully appreciate the water detectors.

Update:So I tested one on the day the detectors were received. Today I opened the other one and found it hard to put it back on when the battery was installed. I guess that’s exactly the issue described by earlier reviews. I was wondering why it did not happen with the other detector. So I tried a few times and then realized where the problem was. It was the battery. Without the battery, it’s very easy to screw the cover back on but with the battery installed it’s an almost impossible task. If you look closely at the bottom where the battery rests, there is a small “bump”, which tilts the battery. That tilt is the issue. The solution is simple. You just need to make sure that this “bump” does not go under the battery. Instead it should go between the connector and the battery, as is shown in the picture attached.This little detector is great! I ordered it yesterday and it arrived today. I read the reviews before placing the order wondering how it would be. It was easy to install. Just like opening a bottle, you turn it to the left a few times and it’s open. There is the battery wrapped in plastics. Remove it and plug it on. And put it back on, turing to the right. Those little metal pins looked not quite of the same length but I guess it’s okay. With a little water on a plate, the detector made quite some noise. I tried it under the sink with cabinet doors closed and, well, not as loud as my alarm, but you could still hear it if you are not very far. But you probably won’t notice it if you are nowhere near it (say on a different floor). You need to be fairly close if it’s in a cabinet under the sink, like in the same room?

I checked these out and they work great. I put one on a plate and slowly poured water and the alarm sounded and as soon as I lifted the alarm off plate it stopped.. I would recommend these to anyone. I live in a trailer where water tank is not visible until removing a panel of course it's not looked at every day like most homes. Learned hard way when mine leaked and soaked floor outside of tank. Now when a leak occurs the loud alarm will notify.. These are small and you can place anywhere.
