Good scanner but the s/w sucks
I bought this V600 scanner recently. Must say the build is solid BUT the accompanying scanner software (Silverfast 9) really sucks. I experienced the same pitch black scan results of my film negatives which was reported a few years ago. I am already using MBP M1 and the performance is also no good and slow. The software is very difficult to use and the GUI is very old style design and not user friendly at all. The s/w provider of Silverfast is well aware of this critical software issue but did nothing to fix it. Very disappointed. So, not recommended for anyone who plans to buy this scanner for scanning film negatives.

will not work with newer windows after window 8
came with only window 8 program will not work on newer windows ! try ro down window 11 wont work!
