Perfect microwave when you want more space
The Toshiba apartment-size microwave is a perfect compact powerhouse! 🍽️ It fits beautifully in smaller spaces without sacrificing performance. Despite its size, it heats food quickly and evenly, and the controls are super easy to use. I love the sleek design—it looks great on the counter—and the quiet operation is a big plus. Whether I'm reheating leftovers or making a quick meal, this microwave handles it all. Ideal for apartments, dorms, or anyone short on space but big on convenience!

Great Microwave
I bought this microwave almost 6 months ago, and my family and I love it. It heats so evenly and reliably, is ridiculously simple to use, and has a lot of space inside for large dishes. Also, we love that the finish beep is way less annoying than other microwaves, AND it can be muted altogether if you still just don’t want to wake anyone up while you’re midnight snacking. This relatively inexpensive microwave was bought to replace a much more expensive microwave that, honestly, didn’t perform as well (and died way too soon). I read a lot of reviews on both Amazon and websites that tested it against other microwaves before I was comfortable picking this one. I was honestly surprised at how much Toshiba, of all brands, came out in the lead when it came to microwaves. So, I took a chance and made this purchase with my fingers crossed. My kids and husband actually laughed when this showed up, and there were a lot of South Park Toshiba Handybook references (IYKYK). We even dubbed the new microwave the “Toshiba Handybox.” All laughs aside, the “Toshiba Handybox” is out here killing’ it. This is easily the best microwave we’ve bought, especially for the price. If you’re microwave shopping right now, stop worrying and add this to your cart. You’ll love it.

Excellent Microwave Of All Time! Review Updated!
The microwave is nice and large. It works like a champ for all things microwavy. There was a surprising claim and a dedicated button on the control panel that says "Frozen Pizza" and the manual even shows to place the frozen pizza directly on the glass turntable, up to 16 inches. Knowing what I do of physics, my doubt meter was clicking.I got a frozen pizza. I placed it as suggested and used the Frozen Pizza option, which displayed the Sensor Cooking feature as well was activated. This is the ONLY feature that fails. The toppings were cooked perfectly. The crust? A floppy flimsy uncooked mess that wanted to roll up like a cheap newspaper.Everything works as suggested except for that ONE thing, the frozen pizza button is a bust. Do not use that button with a real live frozen pizza unless you are intending to make a mess. That is why it earned 3 stars instead of 5. It got my pizza loving hopes up, and it murdered a perfectly innocent pizza in a most terrible manner.Veggies, taters, everything else, popcorn buttons and their bag sizes. all worked flawlessly. Like stated, if it's for the microwave, you're good. RIP frozen pizzas. It was a nice idea, but dough doesn't cook right in the microwave particles.*Upon Edit on 9/29/25*Nearly a year later, a few things dawned on me that told me to come here and re-do my 3 star to a well deserved 5 star review and here is why!First and foremost, the frozen pizza issue. I mistook the concept for an 'unbaked' frozen pizza. This is not the frozen pizza they were talking about. It's about an already cooked frozen pizza from the freezer, saved from a previous meal. The baked dough is defrosted but the toppings get the cook up and is done perfectly. Why this matters? Regular microwaves tend to keep cooking already baked frozen bread, and makes it rock hard. We know how microwaves do this to bread products. Reheat a cold muffin, the moment it cools off to being edible, it hardens into a hockey puck. This microwave will not do that.Second thing I noticed and it took a bit. The turntable sensor technology is truly OUTSTANDING! How so? Put a bowl, plate or cup on the turntable that is not perfectly centered. It turns while cooking or reheating, no matter the setting, when the timer finishes, the turntable keeps going until the food is at its closest to the front door so it's easier to remove. That is truly awesome! As I am in a wheelchair, not having to lean forward an inch more to reach the heated plate/bowl/cup because it is right there in the front and closest to you is a thing of true dedication to service! NICE WORK, TOSHIBA!So from 3 to 5 stars and it's well earned. I love this microwave and if you do not buy it, you are missing out! Worth every penny I spent!

Well Designed
I bought this microwave to replace an identical one that failed after 3 years of typical household use. The first microwave began overheating and running when the door was opened. 3 years is a pretty short lifespan for a microwave but I liked the ease of use, the quiet operation and the mute feature so much I bought another one.Unfortunately the second unit failed after only 5 days of light use. The light and the turntable worked but it failed to heat anything.Despite this I gave it 4 stars because I feel that the premature failure was due to the shipping and handling and not due to the device. The microwave arrived loosely packed without cushioning and was rattling around in a big box. It was delivered by USPS and left standing on it's head by my garage.

Great microwave
Great looking microwave. Super easy to setup. The door is easy to open close. Very compact and perfect for smaller countertops. Powerful enough that it only requires a minute to make most items piping hot. No complaints. I owned the previous version for 4 years before I accidentally cracked the tempered glass.

Good microwave. Definitely recommend!
Really like this microwave and definitely recommend it.I read reviews about the child safety door, etc. I don't know why this is an issue, I didn't even see a need to unlock it.Having to do an extra step to do something like 1 minute to 1.5 minutes. True, a simple press time cook and enter the time. Really? The price, quality, no cooking issues, all good, for this old woman. For me, all is fine. Especially the two concerns for me. Removing the beeps and the 30 sec start button. One issue. The flood light on the unit!I mean stadium flood light.I leave the corner plastic piece on it.Maybe that's what it's for. ;)
